BUSY DECEMBER NEWS

December News about your next-gen social network platform based on the Steem Blockchain

November was a busy month, very exciting and a bit hectic, but we love it! With SteemFest, (awesome people & events), and our announcement last week which raised particular interest in the Steem community, we want to thank you all!

Our announcement post has been resteemed more than 100 times! A great record!
And beyond the good response from the steemians with all these constructive comments, encouragement, questions, donations, our core team @ekitcho @fabien @p0o @nil1511 and @yamadapc did also a tremendous work on behalf of the Busy beta release with even more gusto.

We’re getting ready for 2017 !

Our Schedule. Some official date

What to expect in the next few weeks from the Busy Team

Monday, 5 December:

  • SteemConnect beta release
We will publicly announce the SteemConnect beta release in the next few days. Its potential is underestimated, and we believe this tool will allow many possibilities on the Steem blockchain for developers with complete safety for user key. Busy team will provide couple Tutorials during December to explain quick examples of what can be built with SteemConnect (SteemComment module like Disqus, Auth/Login base layer on third-party apps on Steem, Voting module on Wordpress blogs, etc.)

Imagine the idea of a Steem App Store with all authorized apps where you can log in with your Steem Account credentials in complete safety, use your Light Wallet, edit your global Profile, check your account Activity, select the app you want to use, etc. Busy will be the first project to use SteemConnect

  • Busy Closed Alpha release
We’re opening our platform to a selection of Steem users. Mostly developers, active members. We have limited slots for this closed/private test and will integrate more people on a weekly basis. The goal is to have useful and quick feedbacks from key members on our development until the Public Beta release. It is a fantastic opportunity to encourage emulation among players who want to discover the project and maybe build new projects on top of the Busy platform.
All selected members for this private test shall be notified by message or email next Monday with a release note and invitation.

Wednesday, 1 February :

  • Busy Open Beta release
Busy.org platform will be officially open to every Steemians from February 2017! Only two months left to wait. That will allow our team to finish some key features properly and offer a Minimum Viable Product to our community, bringing new members and initiatives on our platform (assuming that adequate funding will be available at next stage)

Donations & Business model

  • We are working on our Donation Terms&Policy to allow more people to donate, enjoy the benefits of their donation in suitable conditions: several Donation level/ranks will be defined.

Thanks to our Donors this month, Steemit Inc, @smooth, @liondani, @furion & @steemsports, @theprophet0

  • Busy support the Proposed Upgrade for Blockchain Incentives
    Check @steemitblog post
We have been working on this idea for a while, before the steemitblog post, and even discussed it with other people from the community like @furion (SteemQ, SteemSports) and @good-karma (eSteem) in Amsterdam, to figure out what would be the solution for others apps to flourish, have incentives, adopt a solid and viable business model. Busy and @busy.witness will support this proposal.
The funds received will be redirected into a community driven development fund that can help bootstrap new features and services and cover Busy expenses and development. It will allow Busy to reduce our reliance on Donations and become an autonomous non-profit structure.

Thank you. SteemConnect will be a game changer for any third party developer in the Steem ecosystem.

Definitely and this is an opensource project that can only be improved through a concentrated effort involving all important members/developers from the Steem community to make a trusted tool that everyone can use, encrypting with complete safety your keys & data..
Not only it will allow users to use several apps without fear but some Module/Widget like the Disqus comment built on Steem would definitely bring new users and allow tons of possibilities, 2017 will be crazy :)

SteemConnect also caught my attention. Everything around Steem is so well thought out. Good job guys!

Wow. That is hell of alot more than expected. Busy is going to be revolutionary!
All aboard the steem rocketship in february, this will be day to remember in crypto land.

This thing is SEXY! I look at busy like WOAH! Can't wait to try this guys!

thanks ! things are moving so fast every day, the Team performs at its best with your all great comments and support !
:rocket:

This is awesome! I have been a JS developer for the last 2+years. I would love to test out your platform, Feel free to contact me on Steemit.chat @funnyman

BOOM! With SteemConnect hundreds of new services can be used via our account. Building new interface will also get so easier! The future is bright!

@busy.org I checked the site(https://busy.org/#) out cause I had a bit of a hard time understanding this post sorry its not you - its me :D
and what I've read there just shouted "anarchy" - am loving it ! Thank you!

@ekitcho okay will do when I find time - for now would bookmark. Thanks a lot for the link :)

Don't forget to vote for busy.witness https://steemit.com/~witnesses
It's an easy way to support the project.

Phenomenal! I've not been up to speed with the latest developments, but this is really good to see! I'm so looking forward to creative collaboration with you all. =)

Cant wait, would love to test this out :)

Damn just made a post saying how STEEMit main site should catch up with Busy and now.. Busy posts this and STEEMit gets updated with socials/profiles. :)

Great product, good to see it coming out with all these rather uplifting news moving our way. All for one and one for all! Namaste :)

I wouldn't mind testing this out if there are any places left. I have already applied for the beta.

Me too, would love to be alpha tester ! My email is [email protected] in case there is any places left :)

Don't put your email on here - you are opening yourself up to spam. Also there is beta signup on the website too if there are no alpha places might as well put your name down.

will consider adding you guys during our weekly additional slots :)
thanks for your support !

Hi @ekitcho! Do you have any additional slots left? If you do feel free to email me the invite my email address is [email protected] . I'd be glad to do a detailed report on my experience using the site ( pro/con/etc..) I think with all the "fake news" drama and facebook censorship busy can't come at a better time.
There is an important feature that steemit lack which is the ability to allow user better control over their content ( visibility restricted to friends only,etc...) If busy want to appeal to a broader family friendly type audience the privacy must be strong, people aren't going to share much if they can't protect their info. I don't think a simple mute button is going to cut it. Before submitting their posts users could tick a box that says" visible to my friends/followers only. I know everything is still on the blockchain but I still think it's an important feature, the best way would be to encrypt content and only followers can decrypt it, Im not sure if this can be built in the steem code.
Also I remember when I first registered on facebook what immediately attracted me to the site was friend suggestion, the minute I've registered I was on my friends's profils watching their pic and stuff, this is very important for user retention that people can find their friends or groups very quickly. I know this is probably difficult to build on steemit as it would require some kind of algorythm to determine relationship between users but i still think this is very important. Users must feel like home the minute they enter the site, if they have to search for friends etc...most will leave. That's why facebook and twitter are so succesfull because their algorythm for friend suggestion is very accurate and works extremely well.
I'm sure there are ways to make such algorythm in a decentralized way, it doesn't even need to be decentralized actually.

thanks
email sent.
contact me also in steemit.chat ;) or join #busy

No problem. Thank you:)

"Subscription confirmed!" Will take a look on github also!
Congratulations guys!

This looks really great! The design of the site looks so clean! Just the way I like it.
I would love to be involved in the closed alpha release if you guys have the slots left. :)

This looks great! I'm excited to see the Beta release in February! :)

We are going to see a lot of expressions like the following very soon. So I will say it before it becomes a cliche :
Keep me busy, please! :-)

This is exciting, every day it is looking more and more like steem is going the way of the future!

Resteemed and Upvoted. Excellent post! Thanks!

0.1 Steem was sent to you.

Looks really nice! -Resteemed

I think we really need segregated reward pool. At least for Medium/blog type of content and Busy/Reddit/Facebook/Twitter like content. I don't know how to separate them, though.
It is needed because of the 4 posts rule and the different amount of work invested in different type of posts.

Thanks for the update, looking forward to the changes :)

This is going to be great!

This is great !!!

Wow,now that's busy!!!.Great for all of us.

Thankyou

awesome! it will rocket!

Will Steem Power, Steem and Steem Dollar be used on busy.org?

If you, by any chance, have an open spot for alpha - I volunteer to be in :) Thank you in advance

It is exciting even for us newbs to a lot of this crypto stuff to see everything that is going on.

I have sent the email requesting access, I am not the most knowl. guy with all this stuff so if the spots are limited that much - likely others better suited than me.

But I would look it over and provide feedback if you want.

I just logged into SteemConnect for the first time also.

is busy same as steemit or different. are they complimentary of each other or competitors. will busy make people leave steemit. why should people continue on steemit if busy pays authors and has better interface. i dont get

@busy.org is gone wild and look so sexy. Good job team...:)
