Today we Dragon's Milk from New Holland Brewing.

On a suggestion from our local beer expert @omnicolor i decided to try a bourbon barrel - aged stout for my final day.

My first impression was it was expensive for beer. I could have gotten a case of my normal swill for what i paid for this 4 pack. With that being said i headed out of the store and when i got home i looked it over a bit and found that it was 11% alcohol so that explains a bit. POP goes the top and i give it a wiff. Smells pretty good, maybe in a wierd way it almost has a slight chocolate smell. So i tip it back and what do you know. it is pretty good. It has almost a charcoal, vanilla mix taste i guess i would say. The surprising part was that it had a little of the whiskey burn going down. Nothing to the effect of taking a shot of whiskey but it is deffinatly there. I have never had this kind of beer before so i was pretty excited by this. I really wish i would have had a nice medium rare steak to eat while drinking this. I believe it would have really put it over the top. I downed all 4 while working on the race car in pretty short order and i must say i got a bit of a buzz out of the deal to boot.

Would i drink this beer again?

Hell yes, BUT i would need a nice hearty mans man style dinner to go with it.

Since this is a contest, there must be rules
Rule 1 don't talk about fight club, no wait that is not right.

1.You have to try a new beer every day, for 7 days
2.The beer must be something you have never tasted before
3.You must put a photo of the beer and write a few words about it
4.Nominate someone every day
5.If you are a social outcast with no friends to invite you just join the fun. You have every excuse to drink!
6.Use the tag "#sevendaybeerchallenge" as one of your five tags.
7.NEW RULE tag @trumpman to give him recognition for his contest

NOMINATION!!!

Today my final nomination is @phoebz . She is a newbie i ran across the other day from the land down under and she is now in Canada. Seems to be an interesting person to follow as she is fun loving and a bit nutty and is the only person i have ever heard of that actually accepted a ride from a stranger in New York City and lived to tell about it. Again, don't ever do that again.

Hell yeah, challenge accepted. Let's drink some beer and NOT get into strangers cars!!

The Dragons milk beer looks nice from it's packaging,it should taste well too.

That's a pretty good one. I gave it 4.5/5 on Untapped.

I liked it. I just kept feeling like I needed some good food to go with it.

Many of the bigger stouts will leave you feeling like that. Well, that and buzzed.

i was thinking about it all day, i am going to go get a steak and potatos meal to make on the grill in the next week or so and buy some more of these and drink them with dinner. It just seems like the right thing to do.

Love this one, it is one of the most reasonably priced 4 packs of barrel aged beers you can find. They recently came out with salted caramel version I think you'd like.

It was really good. The salted caramel sounds bad ass. But at the end of the day i will probably go back to my good old Busch light shit beer unless it is a special occasion.

Hm impresive....

what was the most impresive part?
