People used to send 0.001 Steem or 0.001 SBD to strangers all the time, as advertising for their services.
This is a good thing, but is cool to receive free 0.001 SBD for doing nothing!
You’re right it was cool, but now that bandwidth that was used by that spam is more valuable than ever. Soon, people are saying we will be able to rent out our unused RCs 🤑
