The Scorpion and the Frog

전갈과 개구리의 이야기를 오랜만에 읽게 되어 공유합니다:

The Scorpion, being a poor swimmer, asked the Frog to carry him across the river.

"I'm not stupid!" remarked the Frog. "You'll sting me and I'll drown."

"Of course not," the Scorpion replied. "If I sting you, I'll drown also. Where's the logic in that?"

"Well, I guess you're right," the Frog said. "Hop on then."

Halfway across the river, the Scorpion gave the Frog a mighty sting on its back. And as they both sank into the river, the Frog woefully asked the Scorpion:

"You said there'd be no logic if you'd stung me. And yet you did it. Why?"

The Scorpion said, "Nothing to do with logic. It's just my character."
