Actually what is learning ?, is learning just thinking or reading a book? and what is the real meaning of learning ?. according to an Indonesian named Thursan Hakim: learning is a process of change in the human personality, and the change is expressed in terms of improving the quality and quantity of behaviors such as the improvement of skills, knowledge, attitudes, habits, understandingsskills, thinking power, and other abilities.Understanding learning can be defined as follows: Learning is a process of business undertaken by a person to obtain a new change of behavior as a whole, as a result of his own experience in interaction with the environment.

whereas According to Gagne (Whandi: 2009) Learning is a process whereby an organism changes its behavior as a result of experience From that sense there are three main attributes or main characteristics of learning, namely: process, behavior, and experience, with the following understanding

  1. Learning Process is a mental and emotional process or a process of thinking and feeling. A person is said to learn when his or her thoughts and feelings are active. the activity of the mind and the feeling itself can not be observed by others, but felt by the concerned that can be observed by the teacher is the manifestation, that is student activity as a result of the activity of mind and feeling in the student self. 2) Changes in Behavior Learning outcomes in the form of behavioral changes or behavior of learners will change or increase behavior, either in the form of knowledge, skills, or mastery of attitudinal values. 3) Learning Experience is experiencing, in the sense that learning takes place in the interaction between individuals and their environment, both physical and social environment. Physical environment, for example: books, props, nature around. Social environment, for example: teacher, student librarian, and Principal. learning can be through direct experience or through indirect experience. Learning through hands-on experience, eg students learn by doing their own and own experiences. learning through indirect experience, for example mengatahui from reading books, listening to teacher explanations. Learning through direct experience results will be better because students better understand, more master the lesson, even lessons felt by students more meaningful.

Characteristics of behavior change in the sense of learning: 1). Change occurs consciously This means that a person who learns will realize the change or at least he felt there had been a change in him. for example, he realizes that his knowledge increases, his skill increases, his habit increases.so a change of behavior that occurs due to drunkenness or unconsciousness does not include changes in the meaning of learning, because the person concerned is not aware of the change.

2). changes in learning are continuous and functional As a result of learning, changes that occur in a person take place continuously, not static. a change that occurs will cause the next change and will be useful for the next life or learning process. For example if a child learns to write then he will experience a change from not being able to write to be able to write. this change continues until the writing skills become better and perfect.

3). Changes in learning are Positive and active In the act of learning, the changes are always increasing and fixed to get a better than the previous Sesutu. thus the more learning effort is made, the more and better the changes are. Active change means that the change does not happen by itself but because of the individual's own efforts. for example behavioral changes due to the maturity process that occurs by itself because of an inner drive, not including changes in the meaning of learning.

4). Changes in learning are not temporary Changes that occur because the learning process is permanent or permanent. this means that the behavior that occurs after learning will be sedentary. For example, the ability of a child to play the piano after learning, will not just disappear but will continue to be owned even more will continue to be developed or used or trained.

5). a change in learning aimed or directed This means that the change in behavior occurs because there is a goal to be achieved. The act of learning is directed toward a change of behavior that is fully realized. such as someone who learned to type beforehand has determined what might be achieved by learning to type, or what level of skill to achieve.

6). change covers all aspects of behavior Changes that a person acquires after going through a learning process include changes in overall behavior. if a person learns something, as a result he will experience a complete change in attitude, skills, knowledge, and so on.

With so the conclusion of learning is:

a) The learning situation should aim. purpose is one aspect of the learning situation. Learning objectives should be well received by the community. The purpose and purpose of learning arise from the child's own life. in reaching that goal, the student will always encounter difficulties, obstacles, and unpleasant situations. b) The main learning outcome is a round behavior pattern. c) The learning process is mainly doing the actual things. in other words learn what is done and do what is learned. d) Activities and learning outcomes are united and linked to learning objectives and situations. e) Students react as a whole. f) Students react to an aspect of the environmentwhich is meaningful to him. g) Students are directed and assisted by those in the environment. .that's a little story about the meaning of learning, hopefully we are more diligent learning and increasingly smarter, amen
