Texas Governor Supports No Jail Time For Small Possession, Or Does he?

You know it's election season right? That's the time when people running for office say a bunch of things to make sure they don't lose a bunch of support, or to gain a bunch. The fact that Greg Abbott says he supports no jail time for small possession of cannabis is great, but sadly, it's all talk.

Understand why he HAS to say that. There is an overwhelming amount of people rising to the occasion to openly support medical and full legalization. That makes him push to the next level of support, even if it's small amounts, that's still a plus. Remember though, it's all talk, what happens in front of the curtain is different than what happens behind it. In 2015 he said it was not going to happen, now he supports it. We are heading in the right direction, but we need more!

The truth is, here in Texas people are wanting way more than just reducing the jail time to a fine. We want full medical and full legalization. Sadly, here in Texas we can't vote on it, but if we could, a yes vote would win, no problem. Here in Texas we have to get a bill filed, go through committees, calendars, to the floor and a long process to get to the Governor's desk. We must apply pressure down at the capital and in the law makers office's. Texas, are you ready to free the weed? Get up, stand up! We need people in action so we can turn that talk of no jail time in to reality and possible even more than that, depending how many people stand up for their rights.
