Outdoor Bloombox Update! 6th week of Flowering.. BUD ROT WARS!

in #cannabis6 years ago

Welcome back Cannalovers!

Its been proper shitty weather the last days and nothing has been dry since the last update..

Yesterday I found the first bud rot, and I wish there was some of that super hot weather that we had for the summertime right now! that stuff forms so quickly that from the morning there was none, and then by 15.00 there was a bud full of it. They got removed straight away, but i know that there will be more there tomoroow. If im lucky, as the other plants have started to flower, I've not kept the box covered tonight, and have left 2 of the sides so that air can pass through, and they have of course the fan there. They are in flower now for 6.5 weeks, and if needed they shall be cut to not loose the whole lot. The mazars though should be more resilient to the bud rot, so im hoping that i can grow them another 7 days and that tomorrow we get some sun to dry things out. I know the fan will spread the spores, but i need the air circulation in there also. Ill keep an eye on it, the temps have dropped to 8c in the early mornings, and yeh, everything is just wet!

The weather says the next 3 days will be dry with some sun and ill have to get prepared with some kind of heater and re-do the bloombox cover and leave it open now at night.

It would be a shame to loose all these buds!

Here's a snap from the other opened end, I hope this will really help, but also not spread the spores around hahaha, fuck, I've since removed it!

The effects of just bending a branch can be seen very well here..

There's a main bud that was bent just before flowering which let the two side ones get bigger..

The critical and acapulco gold has grown somewhat and has been flowering since the last update, well truly showing the signs since 4 days now

And the camera is well on its last legs bless it and it didn't save all the pics of the A.Gold, and so there's just one because its dark outside now!

Big love! @movingman

My last post: No Cash, No Problem

That is outdoor weed life!

The only other thing I could think to do is defoliate the bottom some so there is more air flow amongst the plants. Probably all environmental as you know, but airflow does help with outdoor mold issues in my experience. Moisture tends to build up where leaves lay on each other & those bottoms don’t get much sun anyway.

Hope u get a nice finishing patch of sun !

ill go out now then quickly and take away the board that is completely blocking of all air under! it just stops the stink, i can smell it down the hillside 50m away lol
Thanks for dropping by, hope all is still sunny up there?

All dry inside which is good! Im thinking to try and get them other plants to someone who can flower them indoors, and get some bud in exchange from em :) No chance they would finish outdoors, 2 months from now will most likey have snow and minus degrees hahahah

Im fucking praying for sun!! 2 weeks worth please!

Is the greenhouse necessary? Maybe totally uncover them or somehow get as much drying in as you can over the dry days coming. Having a humidity gauge would help... try to keep it below 60%!

Might have to stay close to home for next few weeks. lol

Good luck brother!

:) Hi dude! Ive been here everyday since 6 weeks for the covering and uncovering of the box, I promised myself a little break away whilst its hanging after harvest. I just saw the moon will be full around the same time due for the chop, perfect!

The green house part was only to control the rain amount and to help disperse the light more evenly because most of the sunlight was partially blocked from very tall swaying trees or not swaying most days lol. And it was my first time using a plastic cover, but this was firstly and mainly intended incase of freak weather such as hail stones :)

I was lazy and couldnt be bothered to start the flowering by 3 weeks, i would have started flowering atleast 2 weeks earlier than I did, then I would have already been harvested by now!

I looked at them today, took lots of leaves away as @ceattlestretch said and we had sun and 20 c today, should be the same next two days. No more signs of bud rot and yeh , all is dried up now! Im still covering them but just the top face of the bloombox so the sides are open. that should easily sort it all out, and I'll cut em in 10 days I hope and don't see why not!
