The Paul Rene MMC (Method Cap Classique) is absolutely to die for and at just over $10 a bottle is a steal!
We got their, with the squad, on a buzzing morning. Everyone had glasses out and were ready for the tastings and chilled vibes to come. . .
Made from 100% chardonnay grapes, that are picked by hand and then placed in a fridge to chill before starting the 3 year journey of creating one of the finest bubbly Cape Town has to offer!
The wind doesn't stop the drinkers!
The gardens around the main farm house and tasting room is awesome, with tables everywhere and places to chill...
In the tasting room the owners told us all about the farm, including how Henk, the sparklink wine producer, used to steal groceries from his mothers kitchen for his scout trips so that he could spice the camp food. :')
When asked about what his wife had to say about his dream he said:
“Working together has been a fantastic privilege and journey.
The challenge is that I am a dreamer and Monica is
an even bigger dreamer. Although we have spent
many early coffee mornings together, drives to Cape
Town and late evenings discussing and planning, it
has never felt like work. To us living on a farm with
our family and making MCC is a living dream, and one
that we appreciate every day,” says Henk.

The farm is situated situated on the Wonderfontein Farm
in the beautiful Robertson district, about 90 minutes from Cape Town
You can see this family puts passion into their wine, and have a great time doing it.
