Hi Friends,
We have two cats living in our backyard and they often like to go out hunting and bring mice and lizards home with them. They will actually go on top of people's houses and watch for movement, then go and stalk their prey. Here is one taking a look:
There isn't much to hunt around our house, but there is a wash that drains from the mountains to the ocean near our property, so it is used by a variety of animals to go from the mountains to other areas of the city fast. We have seen coyotes and bobcats using it before too, but apparently, mice use it as well. When they do, they are usually caught by the cats and left dead on my back porch. lol.
I guess that is the circle of life.

Haha, I have a cat living in my backyard, too. It sometimes bring mice at the door. However, when I see it about to hunt a bird by chance, I prevent it.
And here I though the cat was just chilling under the sun. It was actually prowling for prey.
