What "argument of authority" are you referencing? I'm not referring to any authority, I'm just explaining to you how this is done. Are you thinking that my mentioning that Steemit and EOS both were looking into this is somehow an argument of authority?
That's not an appeal to authority. It's just information I was told. I forget who it was that told me about Steemit's idea, but it was probably Ned. In the case of EOS, it was one of the guys there who I worked with in the past.
I'm not citing it as proof of anything. I just thought it was information worth mentioning, that there were blockchain guys who were considering it as an option to decrease the overall chain size.
