A mask? A costume? A feeling? A deception? A defect? A desire?

We all want to be something that we are not. For what? To hide those defects that each one of us has inside, to deceive ourselves. That is the mask that disguises us every time we do something that instead of doing us some good, makes us be bad people, only to hide being someone that we are not, only to fall well. To fall well to whom? To fall well to someone who surely is not worth it. Because who is worth it if you have to disguise yourself to be up to it? Is it normal to have to be someone else for fear of being rejected? No, it is not. Life is short to be living in someone's shadow. Each person is different, each person has something to contribute to the world and if we are all going to be wearing a mask in disguise, what's the point? I just want to make it clear that life is not to be lived in disguise, and instead it is to live it as we are. Remove that mask that blinds us and live it as teenagers that we are.
