I have been something of a chronic procrastinator all my life and have been stuck in this pattern again for 3 days now. One of the great things about keeping a daily journal like this is that it always puts a mirror in front of your face (if you are honest). Any kind of procrastination behavior won't last long this way. When wanting to be lazy, the mind comes up with all kinds of rationalisations to justify your emotional state. "I will continue once the next 7 day cycle hits, ..." Understanding this process does not fully fix the issue, but it does help cause a lot of cognitive dissonance which forces actions to follow. It is very similar to eating meat, once you fully understand how the brain works and see how facts don't really matter to it, you just can't do it anymore if you are honest to yourself.
Anyway, on day 35 I will break my 4 day Solitude streak and come closer to a point where I need to take some action because as stupid as it sounds, I want to have something to actually write about on Steemit.
