I am participating in the Polar Bear Plunge in Seaside NJ. The event will be on February 24th giving me some time to gather donations. I have participated in this once before; it is a really fun event with good people and a great cause. They have some of the Special Olympians at the event each year as well as their coaches and other officials from the organization. With plenty of stories of how the funds get put to use you really know the donations get put to good work.

All proceeds support Special Olympics New Jersey, a non-profit organization that provides free year-round sports training and athletic competition in 24 Olympic-type sports for more than 25,000 individuals with intellectual disabilities.

I see the law enforcement logo, can you please explain how they are involved? Are they organizers or just donors?

Law enforcement is a big sponsor of the special Olympics they run a torch around the country to different events with the athletes like the real Olympics has. No money goes to them if that's what you are wondering. They volunteer their time and effort. @jocrazy
