Due to the growing number of donations arriving in my personal account for the Bali volcano evacuees I have created a dedicated account @charitysteemit which is using the tag #helpbali2017 to gain visibility & involvement.
I have done this for the following reasons:
First and foremost, to raise funds for much needed SOLAR KITS in the growing number of camps without power.
To achieve 100% clarity & visibility for all STEEM & SBD donations.
To give an up-to-date & accurate feed of information on our current situation in Bali.
To incentivise the writing of further posts which can potentially find themselves trending due to the topical subject matter. Meaning that you can benefit and so too can the people of Bali, if you follow the procedure listed below.
To build awareness of the POWER of STEEMIT in facilitating future emergency fundraising.
To show how simple it can be to personalise this dedicated charity account to fit any cause and utilise the numerous benefits of Steemit & the Steem Blockchain.

After discussing this idea with @timcliff yesterday he pointed out that it is possible for people (when writing posts which relate to fundraising for a charity) to donate the liquid portion of their rewards while keeping the Steem Power for themselves.

It is our intention to attract many more authentic charities & NGOs to Steemit.
