RE: Being Honest About My Fat Loss Progress

in #chips7 years ago

You are in a stage when your mind wants some changes, but your body is not yet ready for it. That's why you still eat all of this junk and have guilt about what you do. Your body needs some time to change. It is a technical thing.

I've been there and done that. It is just a matter of time and practice. When the time comes and you feel ready for real changes, you are going to do other activities.

To succeed you have to switch focus from looking good this summer to looking good for life and forever. Being fit and looking good should be part of your lifestyle. Like a daily routine. Since there are no other way to do it, start to look for the best ways you enjoy on doing it. Find foods you like, daily routine you prefer and activities you enjoy doing. It is good to read some books and read some other people experiences and experiment with all that information. Because you will have to do it forever. This is your new life. 👊

I just need to stop eating my emotions impulsively. I need to put myself in a position to win

Nobody can.

I am still eating on my emotions. Sometimes. And I do not blame myself for that.

The trick is that I'm controlling most of the time and fail only on extreme cases. Like 80 out of 100 I'm controlling myself but 20 are failures.

You can learn that, too. Make it a game or competition with your stomach. Record every day success or failures of every meal you had that day.

You can do it other ways - use some app or whiteboard, stickers etc. The point is:

  • do it every single day
  • do not judge yourself
  • do not blame yourself
  • just enter the status
  • every week make a status report

But the most important thing is to have a motivation on why you do it. If you do not have a motivation then no technique can help you. Because every single time you have to answer to yourself - why you are doing it?

yeah I just need to remember that moving forward a bit is better than not moving at all...I have to stop thinking that since I can't live the way I want to now means I can fuck off and just do whatever...instead should just make the best out of what I have to work with and grow on from that

Love your writing, @scorer..
You and Gator, two amazing people I know...
