Desert mentality #Part I: Live in the past

Some time ago I once discussed about how we can win the battle in our minds. One of the devil's deceptive tricks often done to us is the wrong mindset. This false mindset is a picture of the wilderness mentality. The Bible very clearly tells us how the journey of the Israelites for 40 years in the Desert. God had called the Israelites out of Egyptian slavery to go into the land God had promised, the
land of Canaan, a land full of milk and honey. However, most of the people did not come to the ground of promise, but died in the wilderness. The journey they were supposed to take for eleven days to 40 years. They just circled in the desert.

What is the problem?

Numbers 14:1-4 And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.
And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!
And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?
And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.

Notice how negative the minds of the Israelites, they only know complain then rebelled against Moses. They simply surrendered to what they heard, preferring to live in Egypt rather than moving forward toward the Promised Land.
Actually they have no problem, the problem is is themselves a negative mindset. The Israelites have often witnessed the miracles that God made in their lives. when they encounter problems, they do not see from the point of view of the right, but they are doing is Maunder, rebel to God. they had just look at the miracle of the Lord soon they can forget it. they do not know thank God and the mindset them wrong repeatedly make them action wrong as well.

Egypt is a symbol of slavery and suffering. When problems come often our mindset is wrong, wanting to get back to the past. Yet Christ has called us out of every past. Christ has given us spiritual freedom. Our past is not really what we left behind. Just as the Israelites were concerned only with matters relating to food and drink.
The future we do not determined by our past or present. our future real there with God. if we already be people believe everything mindset of the past we have to leave.

mindset wrong or mentality wilderness ** life past ** can inhibit the growth of our spiritual. if we continue to see the backward we will never be able to see our future. the promised land that God promised in our lives, will not we enjoy. way of view the wrong will affect our actions. therefore, let's leave mentality wilderness the life past. let's life as a free man who has been set free by Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

2 Cor. 5:17 is my favorite scripture in the Bible! Great post dear sister! The verse that was going through my mind while I read this was, Php 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

God bless! Daddy William
