In this reflection, I want to share with you an idea that has been growing in my heart, and that is that at the time of the death of our Lord, the 7 words that I pronounce are not only words but rather seven gifts for us, below I explain it in detail.

  1. first word ---- "Father forgive them who do not know what they do" in this word, Jesus gives us forgiveness, despite having outraged and offended to the extreme, he gives us intercede for us with the Father to forgive us, a forgiveness that will last forever.

  2. second word ---- "I thirst" in this word, there is a desire of Christ to drink water, obviously for all that he suffered, he is dehydrated, but there is also a thirst, a huge desire for all the souls of save us from going down to hell and take out all the souls that had not received a trial, that is their true thirst, be for us.

  3. third word ---- "today you will be with me in paradise" the gift of this word is that it does not matter how evil you have been if there is true repentance, an awareness of having done wrong, of admitting it and asking for forgiveness, and feel mercy for another (as the bandit did for Jesus) you have promised a paradise, a kingdom that God has prepared for us.

  4. fourth word ---- "mother there you have your son, Juan there you have your mother" another great gift, God gives us his own mother, with these words decrees that the mother of El, now is mother of all We are an invaluable gift, it is to have as a lawyer the Queen of Heaven, besides having the love of God we now have a mother who also listens to us understands us and comforts us with that unique love of a breast woman.

  5. fifth word ---- "Father Father why have you abandoned me" as this word can be a gift? Well, if it is, it is the gift of Jesus' understanding, it is to let us know that he understands when we are desperate when we feel that God does not listen to us, when we are suffocated, I am that, I lived it, remember this word when you are desperate or desperate, and tell him you also felt this help me he gives us maximum understanding.

  6. sixth word --- "in your hands I commend my spirit" in this word gives us the example to follow, that is to say at all times strong of our lives or life or death we must do the same as Jesus, entrust our spirit to God father, that's what he wants us to do and God the father who loves us so much that he sent his own son, will not wait to receive us.

  7. seventh word ---- "everything has been completed" everything has been fulfilled, everything is fulfilled, everything is done that I said, it is your signature that is not erased in time, it is to say no matter what happens these gifts they are his, and I have the will of my and of my father and of the Holy Spirit to do it.

so we are happy because we have a loving God who has given us more than we think we have!
May this Lent serve to reflect the passion of Jesus and his great 7 gifts ...
