VR And Christmas Blues

If you live in England - in London and the South East, then Christmas has been 'cancelled'. We were originally supposed to be able to spend time with our families, but thanks to a mutant strain of the coronavirus, that was thrown out of the window.

AltspaceVR set up a pretty nice snowy campfire area with a Christmasy snowman. I can imagine a lot of people will be hanging around there this season, just so they have someone to talk to.

It got me thinking - a lot of people live aline in this city. If they're not able to go spend time with their family/friends, then the already dreary winter could get even drearier. There's already seasonal depression associated with this time of the year. One can only imagine what this whole Covid thing is adding to the picture.

Anyhow, I just want to wish everyone a pleasant Christmas where ever you are, if you do celebrate it. If not, have a happy holiday period - that is if you're on holidays. For many people around the world, it's a normal working week.

Peace & Love,

Adé

The government should issue vitamin D supplements. It is the best antidote to those seasonal blues. Cool idea about the virtual campfire. I hope people find ways to connect. Thank goodness for new technologies like that, and services like Zoom and FaceTime.

Merry Christmas, @adetorrent. May things begin to get better for all of as the New Year progresses.

Happy Christmas Ade. It could be lonely this Christmas for many people. I wonder if the online services will cope with demand.

Merry Christmas dude
