Normally I put lights up on the outside of my house during the weekend after Thanksgiving. This year it didn't happen, although I can't explain exactly why not. I DID put up Rosie's Tree as I showed previously, but really haven't done as much decorating as is normal for me.
I have thought about not doing things before, but got over THAT fast and was always glad I did after it was done.

Today the temperature got up in the mid 60s and the day was sunny, so I decided it was now or never... well.... never this year. I didn't want to feel all Scroogie though, so I threw a few lights up on the porch. I didn't put a lot of effort into it, but I was going on the notion that SOME is better than NONE ! It was hard to tell if I had things too crooked or not in the daylight and knew it would be easier to judge once it got dark.

Turned out pretty good. I didn't have to make any adjustments.

Just a fun little shot across the front of the porch rails. Christmas lights always make for fun photos I think.

It was neat how depending on what color the color wheel was on inside at the tree, how it changed the photos a little bit. That is what made me do the animation above.

And one more .....

Normally since living here I have put some lights in the azalea bushes that are to the left of the steps but.... I didn't feel like it ! That made me laugh to type that I didn't feel like it but.... I didn't, so this will have too do.
Some is better than none....right??!
Hope you are all doing well and finding ways to hold onto some Christmas Spirit despite the restrictions.
Love you !

✨ Thank you for the sparkles, @jacey.boldart. Here are a couple for YOU! 🌟
The vibrant colors make me think of fruit 🍏🍇🍊 and candy 🍭 and FUN. It was an entrancing delight to watch them change and dance.
I took your "I don't feel like it," to a whole 'nuther level... by not even considering doing anything more than switching on the Himalayan salt lamp! lol
HAPPY HOLIDAYS. I truly appreciate the cheer you've shared.
You're welcome ! 🙂
.... it made me laugh when you said you switched on the salt lamp..... somes better than none. Maybe put a star on top of it....ha ha
Thanks !
It's beautiful! I love it when you decorate everything! It may be a few lights for you, but, it's gorgeous and makes your house look happy!
My parents did a double color tree and I always thought it was so cool. I tried and failed! (the tree was too wide for me and it was just too much) My respect for pulling it off. :))
I have white lights on one tree and colored on another, so I get my fix, but I like the alternative better. I have so many older/ old world ornaments, white usually looks better.
Thank you for showing off your Christmas! You do it best!
The house certainly DOES look happier now.
I think putting the lights on is my least favorite part, so doing it twice for double lighting is not so fun. My Uncle bought a new one this year, per lit, that has a remote that will change it any way you can think, so no stringing two sets of lights.....(but not a real tree either !)
I suppose I could have had more than one tree this year since nobody can come visit, so I don't need any chairs....LOL.... but I didn't do it.
Thanks for stopping buy and leaving some happy words.
My extra trees are not real ones. I have a pencil tree that is in a small spot. But I like it anyway. A bigger tree wouldn't fit. I skipped the little dropping pearl garland and just put lights and made a tree bow for it.
Lazy, I know. :))
Lovely !
Love the plush banister garland !
I have a silver pencil tree I have been putting up to put my vintage family ornaments on but... not this year. I feel so lazy, but I still can't make myself do it. Blah ! ~throws some glitter in the air~..... maybe next year.
Haha! Exactly!! Now, clean up that glitter, Missy! No? Meh... maybe next week.
The neighborhood went crazy, with all this staying home business. Ga e them lots of free time to cover their entire house with lights.
Yikes. I'll have to take some pictures. It's crazy!!
I've heard some folks have done that and one night I need to go riding around to see what I can see. So far, as little as I go out, I have only seen things on my normal route and the folks that have the most up, have that much up every year.
Take some pictures. I wanna see !
I will!! It is raining tonight, so maybe tomorrow!!
