There is drastic rise in the temperature of the earth's climate and tgis has affected the earth system. Global warming is being caused by the increasing quantity of greenhouse gases in tge atmosphere as a result ofhuman activities from the burning if fossil fuelsand deforestation. This has caused wide spread concern in the world today as climate change effects are felt in every continent of the world. Environmental changes is tge main effect from Climate change as the environment is no more inhabitable for humans and wildlife.
Africa for me is the hardest hit continent affected by this global warming which has caused drastic environmental changes for the continent and it's inhabitants(humans and animals) Some of the effects noticed today include:
Health Effects
It's said that health is wealth, global warming has caused many health challenges to the people of Africa. There is now wide spread heat exhaustion and otger heat related illnesses caused by increasing surrounding temperature. Also there is now high spread of communicable diseases.
Flooding
Flooding is now a frequent occurrence in Africa. Climate change has caused extreme rains which has caused severe flooding in some parts of Africa. Countries like Uganda, Nigeria and Cameroon have experienced severe flooding which destroyed homes, agriculture and displaced wildlife.
Drought
Drought is now very common in some parts of Africa. Intense sand storms now occur in some part of Africa as the dry earth is blown by high winds. Droughts makes farming difficult and can cause food shortage, hunger and Famine.
There are some other effects of climate change like landslides, severe heat and cold, changes in weather patterns, the social and economic effects, which I didn't mention here. Please, how is the climate change affecting your Area?
