Gynura Violetta.

This plant has purple green leaves.
The hairs on the leaves make it looks like the plant is made of purple velvet.

Close up.

A little smaller so you can see the whole leaf at once.

The backside of the leaves, and the stem, are even more purple.

Pictures of the whole plant.

Nice photos! :)

Hey @wordsword, this plant is absolutely magnificent! Have you had a chance to smell it's flowers? I heard their smell is quite unpleasant! Also, I am working on compiling an herbarium here on steemit. Would you be interested in adding the tag "herbarium" to posts like this one to make this herbarium project a collective effort? I am currently working on posts about medicinal plants and various mushrooms, but I would love to see other people adding their grain of salt! Have a good day!

Done.

No I did not smell the flowers jet. Maybe by then I place it on the other site of the room lol.

Thank you for the reply and upvote. And a very good day to you too :)

I put the tag under this post too, can I put that tag under everything to do with plants, flowers, shrubs, trees, herbs and maybe mushroom.
Please let me know where I could place the tag.

Thank you.

Hey @wordsword, use the herbarium tag as you see fit. It's open to everybody's contributions. I am personally working on some medicinal plants and mushrooms, as these are my main interests. You take original, quality photographs and that's awesome! I also appreciated that you included the plant's scientific name. Maybe some people will be able to add some facts about the plants you share and this is how I believe we will be able to build this herbarium. Thank you for your interest, I saw that you shared contributions, this made me very happy :)

O.k.I will do that. It's a small effort to add the tag.
Thank you for your reply. :)

I had the same plant years ago. I liked its very special violet furry leaves.

When I saw it, I had to buy it. It's a wonderful color.
I read, just yet, in a reply, that the flowers smell not so good though lol.
Thanks

Nice photographies!!
Have a good evening!
