How to Persuade People with Subconscious Techniques

Feeling difficult in proving yourself right? Not having enough convincing powers? Unable to persuade people? Now you don’t have to worry anymore. Today we are sharing few life hacks through which you can easily persuade or convince someone. The power of persuasion is beyond imagination. Just think how it feels to get anything you need. Simple invisible or subconscious techniques can be quite helpful to persuade others and let them do what we wish them to. Different persuasion techniques are used in different parts of the world. Some of the common techniques are:

1. The Framing Method:

Framing is the most common technique used for persuasion. It’s a simple technique in which choice of words alters the complete meaning of the statement. The words you use should have all the aspects – positive, negative and neutral. It depends on the recipient how he interprets your message. The three core elements of this method are:

a) Placement:

to maximize the effect, the choice of right time, right place, and right people.

b) Approach:

The way you present your argument. Try to explain the positive side rather than discussing the negative aspects. People focus more on your approach than listening to the lines.

c) Method:

That’s the most important element while using framing method. A simple word can alter the complete meaning of the argument. The words have an impact on the listener’s mind.

2. Mirroring Technique:

People listen to those who seems alike. The best you can do to look alike is mimicking their actions and body language. A sense of empathy is created between the listener and speaker. We all use hand gestures, head movements, and other body motions according to the words we utter. This technique is also known as the chameleon effect. A delay of 2 to 4 seconds between the person’s movement and your mirroring, is best.

3. Creating scarcity:

The limited the product is, the more appealing it will be resulting in more buyers. This technique is used by the brands as you have seen a label of LIMITED on few of the products. Why is the diamond the most expensive stone? Because it’s rare? No, there are a lot of other stones that are rarer and beautiful than diamond but you’re persuaded and believed that it’s rarest. Use the technique of scarcity and urgency in your arguments to win it.

4. Timing:

Right timing is the most important aspect to winning an argument or expansion of your business. If you launch your winter collection in summer, you won’t be getting a single customer. Same is the case with the arguments. Sometimes the lamest argument can help you win whatever you want to. The best time to persuade someone for something is when the person’s mind is fatigued. And usually at the end of the day, we all are fatigued and it’s the perfect time to ask for something.

5. Reciprocation:

When someone does a favor to us we feel obligated to return the favor in a more appropriate way. It’s the most effective way of persuasion. But for reciprocation, first, you’ll have to do something for the person before asking for anything. Apart from returning the favor, he/she will feel bound to say NO to whatever you say.
