RE: Deployment Updates, Improved Power Downs, New Landing Page Copy

in #condenser7 years ago

It seems like it is still supported somehow. Sorry, I am not familiar enough with what they changed to know how it works.

If you upload an image directly into the posting editor and use the format that they describe in the comments within the 1723 pull request, does it work? Sorry, it is probably a bit difficult if a way to figure it out, but at least based on the changes in the PR it looks like it is still supported somehow.

From what this function sounds like, it is meant to "retain image sizing". Which means that you will retain the ORIGINAL image size, not provide an ADJUSTED image size.

The whole purpose of the https://img1.steemit(dot)com/LxW/ function in front of an image was to adjust the display of an image on a post. I believe the original image would still retain it's original size.

If anything, 1723 COUNTERS the https://img1.steemit(dot)com/LxW/ function by ALWAYS forcing the ORIGINAL image size. At least that's what I'm gathering from the function based on what I have read.

Cool, thanks!

As a witness, any chance of talking among yourselves and coming up with a Steemit specific markdown guide? I have found several, but none that are steemit specific. I think it would be a big help, and then posted under the FAQ tab for steemit.

As far as I know, Steemit uses standard markdown. There is a link in the FAQ for that. Are there any 'Steemit specific' things that you are aware of? I can look into it if there are.

I have not been able to use the pull left/right or center when it comes to pictures, so I must be doing something wrong. The FAQ link is for just very basic markdown, oh well I will learn and find what I need, I did find how to make smaller text. Ended up getting slammed hard by @berniesanders but I did learn the sub command. Thank you for your responses.

Give this a try. I can add it to the FAQ too the next time I do a pull request.

Thank you have it bookmarked for tomorrow's picture posting.
