Condenser / Steemit.com, To-do list.

in #condenser7 years ago (edited)

In no special order;

Is there anything contentious in there or that risk breaking the chain? As far as I know all of these are purely UI issues and don't break any consensus rules.

What's the hold-up? Why isn't Steemit throwing ressources at it's supposed core product/interface? The blockchain's development is decentralized right?

Nobody will ever use the first two content type if Steemit isn't displaying them properly and it will drag down progress for all other front-ends. Dmania's main feature was to display GIFV files instead of being limited to large inconvenient GIF files, Why not spend 1/100th of what was rewarded to dmania via delegation to fund GIFV
support in condenser?

Sort:

The only thing that can explain this is that they want other Frontends to take over in my opinion. No way they don't have the ressources to get people do those changes. Busy, Steempeak and co. probably have way less ressources and quickly did at least a few of the things you mentioned.

Which one in my list do that have working?

Show vote value when casting a vote
Show vote values breakdown in on posts
Upgrade markdown WYSISWG editor.
Have a go to user search box that basically replace the input to steemit.com/@input editing out URLs is for nerds.

at least those, not sure about more ;)

Anything else tag me or @steempeak

Steemit features, wish list.
  • An option to have multiple drafts of posts.
  • An option to schedule posts.

@steempeak does 4, 5 , 6, and maybe 8.

More than that... let me check.

Just in regards to the editor, I'd suggest upgrading markdown to multimarkdown, which has several features that make it (IMHO) superior to plain markdown. I know steemit has added some elements of phpmarkdown (such as footnotes) but I'd love if they went all the way.

Of course my pipedreams would be for them to allow custom css.
