On Friday morning it took 4 of us to get this window out. But we did it and only a little damage to a corner of the trim.
He quickly framed the hole and got the window in. No mosquitoes and just a few flies made it inside. This window will be over the porcelain sink from the Tonka garage, in what I call the clean room, a tiny room for cleaning stuff, with shelves and the old cabinets. It will also have the milk and eggs fridge.
He went and got more sealer and tape and by mid afternoon he had it done and ready to side.
The mason showed up really early on Friday, what we thought was the last day for a while. They got pretty close to the top.
They finished the bake oven and the front top ash cleanout.

The east side of the addition is pretty much a mess, between the masons and an outside cutting area.
It turns out one mason will be here for a few more days next week. I think he’s going to be building the rest of the core, and then enclosing it in the gray blocks.
Not sure what’s planned for Saturday….
