The gutter guys arrived a bit early and got started.
They finished around noon. My husband liked the job they did, especially as it wasn’t him up and down ladders!
This area where the porch and the west wall meet was the worst. Much of the top soil there had washed away.
The gutters give it a nice finished look.
It will be nice going out the back doors without getting dripped on.
I’ve used fancy concrete blocks under the downspouts, usually planted with lily of the valley for 35 years.
This was an area I asked them to make an extension for, to reach the block that was there. He’d never seen anything like it and asked how well they worked.
Some of the blocks were still in place, and some were lost in construction. I have to search for more of them now.
Gutters done! Next is the stone mason and building the chimney for the masonry heater, up through the roof.
