On Wednesday afternoon I had been standing at the island sink in front of the pantry door and felt a cold draft around my ankles. The cool air from the pantry was leaking out under the door.
So I wrote “doorsweep” on the carpenter’s punchlist. On Friday morning he got a black door sweep and put it on the door. Now the pantry will keep its cool air on these hot days. As usual, the job was inspected by the job supervisor.
The carpenter’s main job for Friday was starting the trim in the laundry. I still haven’t gotten the laundry cleaned out, so he can’t paint. He’s just getting the pieces cut and fitted, and just tacked on.

On Monday he plans to go to the barn and bring back more wood for the rest of the trim pieces. He’ll have to plane and join them, then stain them.
