If the rain comes Tuesday night, it should wash the sawdust out of the slots. He was pretty impressed with the stick-on flashing he used to seal the joints.

He didn’t get the plywood over the top until after supper. This heat is really taking it out of him, up on that dark roof.

Not sure how much or what he plans to do on Wednesday, another hot humid day.

I have no idea what this is for except as a chimney. I'm so like zero aptitude when it comes to these things lol.

It's for a chimney! LOL

Basically, there are 2 stove pipes that will come up through it. Metal stove pipes aren't terribly attractive. So he built this enclosure around them and will face it with a facade of stone that will match the facade of stone around the masonry heater.
