Hey IFC peoples! Hope you're doing well. :)
The results for the sixth round of season two are in.
Us judges are picking up speed a lil bit here now and judging the rounds quicker, so.. Hopefully it doesn't take us too long to get to the finals! But, it's still going to be a while as we still have a lot of rounds to judge.
Let's move right to it shall we?

apolymask - I'm giving 1 to shaheerbari for his very touching,sentimental and inspiring entry about his father which I can relate a lot with and appreciate greatly 1 to @ayushjalan for the super cool nature spot he shared with us, I also like what he wrote about his adventures and meeting strangers also giving 1 to @plushzilla for the deep and meaningful entry on voice/music/art therapy and how inspiring it is when people can recover and heal from very difficult experiences in life.
xomegax - 2 for ayushjalan because he was there to prove his point and to show what he is inspired about 1 for bengy for the detailed explaination and application
enforcer48 - 1 for @bengy: I know it's philosophical, but the idea applies to many professions. If you are stagnant or indifferent about your job, chances are, you will never excel at it 2 for @shaheerbari: relatable story. His parents have good values.

I think this is the first tie breaker we've had so far this season? Last season we had a bunch! Right at the very beginning too. I was kinda surprised we hadn't had any tie breakers yet, but now we finally have one.
The subject of this round was "Inspiration" and I usually like to play off of the round in which there was a tie so... The subject of this tie breaker round will be... Hmm... I looked at the antonyms of inspiration and none of them really seemed to fit, but personally.. I think "fear" is sort of the opposite of inspiration.
Now.. You could see fear itself as inspiration if you look at it right.. So this isn't perfect, however I'm having difficulty finding a better subject and I typically think "inspiration' is usually a positive thing. So.. I'm going to pick the subject of "fear" for the tie breaker.
It's up to you how you want to go about it as usual, though maybe you might want to write about what scares you? Or just a general write up on the subject of fear itself?
Also.. I'm pretty sure ayushjalan is traveling right now, so perhaps we should extend this tie breaker round an extra week?
Lemme know what you two think when you see this and what your schedule is like, I don't wanna be too strict so I'm sure we can figure something out and wait longer if necessary if one or both of you are busy, especially as us judges are still so far behind.
PS.. Tie breaker rounds work pretty much the same as regular rounds, except you'll want to post your entry here in the comments of this blog post when you're done. If you have any questions lemme know!

I was a little unsure about how to do the leaderboard this season without being too confusing, so... I'm going to put those who have won points from season 2 on top, and will keep those from season 1 on the bottom.
I think at the end of the season I will likely combine both season 1 and 2 scores together. If you played in season 1 you still have your exp and items, I'm just showing it this way so it's easier to keep track of who is in their proper ranking place during the new season.
Also if you scored any points so far you are automatically entered into the finals as it only takes 1 point this season to get entered into the finals. Players from last season will not be entered into the finals unless they score at least 1 point during this new season 2.

Now we're talking! I'm glad the judges liked my entry.
I'll be returning home in about a week or so and this tie breaker is the first thing I wanna do when I get back, maybe after a bit of sleep lol.
Making an entry in the comments sure will be more convenient, but I wanna ask will it influence the length of the post?
As in, can the entry be as long as a regular blog post entry or does it needs to be shorter than that?
Anyway, super excited for this! The topic of fear is very interesting to me and I think it's one of the best ways we can explore someone's deepest self.
I hope my entry stands out! :D
Okay so.. We should plan on extending the deadline a bit then if you won't be home for a week. I think a 2 week deadline should probably be good?
To be clear I didn't mean to make your entry in the comments, I meant to drop the link in the comments like you normally would in an official blog round post, basically the same way you've been doing it.. But post it here instead in the comments since there isn't an official tie breaker round post, there's just this winner announcement post. Does that make sense?
Also I have a feeling you'll do something great on the subject of fear based on and considering how well you've done with other subjects in the past! Though shaheerbari has been doing some really good ones too! So.. It should be a good battle. :) Good luck! PS Lemme know if you're still unsure about the rules or if you have any other questions.

Oh thank you! I have a rough idea of what I want to write about but my mind is currently too unfocused from all the travelling to pay attention. Guess I'll have to wait a bit to ease out first. Will make an entry soon buddy :)
P.S. I forgot to ask if the title of the post needs to contain a "IFC Tie-Breaker" or something like that since we have that as a rule for regular entries.
Okay then thanks for the picks judges, I'll be working on the tie breaker and FEAR is a great topic. Will be fun writing on it.

Cool! Good to know. I'm going to put the deadline at 2 weeks since your competitor is traveling and won't be home for a week, so you have two weeks.
Also.. Your competitor seemed to be a lil confused about posting his entry and thought he was suppose to create it in the comments section, just in case you're unsure about that also I want to clarify that you should make a blog post on your own page like you have been doing and then just post the link here in the comments.

It would have been nice to have you in more rounds. :) But I'm glad you played in a couple!
And just to let you know, if you want to you can still get a late entry in any round after round 7 except for the scavenger hunt round.
Us judges are so far behind that I figured might as well leave it open.
Also I gave one of my points to your entry in round 7, so.. Even if you don't enter any other rounds you'll still have a chance to play in the finals if you want to since it only takes 1 point to get into the finals this season.
