Hi @mister-meeseeks, my favourite thing about steemit is that it is such an organic platform, and the first of its kind. I use it more than any other now, and not just for the payouts. The people using it all have soo much in common, which is they're sick of the lies, the fake news , the spam, and the trolling, and plagiarism that plagues all other platforms.
Being rewarded for curation and writing is a great welcome change to pointless social platforms like facebook, and with such welcome new rewards for our posts you wont find us with our noses in our phones seeking social gratification for hours on end either.
I love steemit, and I love it's community!
Steemit is great! We all benefit from growing a community that is motivated and involved in making awesome material to bring value to the platform! Yes indeed!
I believe being genuine is the most important factor of any social media platform. Steemit is true and authentic and that's the main reason it is making an impact globally :)

Steemit is still growing and advancing - despite this fact no matter which subtopic you choose you are always welcomed by kind hearted people always willing to give you some advice, critique or even just some encouragement. Outside of steemit there are also many flourishing communities dedicated to creating content - for example the DLive community. Being rewarded for content you genuinely put effort into has to be my favourite part of the site. It encourages people to create and share content they actually care about.
