IF I win, I get some SBD and I can only win with most votes.. so If I win, I will share the winnings by pulling a random name (my daughter will) and everyone who votes gets a chance to win 10SBD.. at the moment I only need about 10 votes to win it, so it's a 1 in 10 chance.. Thanks for your comment.. I hope it does win, the mathematics x programming weekly competition will look pretty smart if you upvote

yeah, nice idea.
But, hope you don't mind if i make a suggestion. Make some contrast between the logo and the text.
At a first glance eye must reach something first. Is too crowded there.
Make all elements 70% grey and leave text black for example. Or other colors... your choice.
Hope you take it as a good thing and not bad critics.

I had, as you can see below already gone through a process of simplification using a drop shadow, strokes and various colours / configurations..
However the contest will be won on most votes.. I posted them all then realised that if the votes were split between them, I'd wouldn't have a chance, so I took them all down and left the first one. If it does win and I hope it does... I will give them all to choose from !! your input is appreciated and I welcome your support with many thanks :)

You can take all from there and use them or just modify your own (unfortunately i used photoshop because the source was a png). I don't mind and have no pretension.
Hmm... V.3 and V.4 are too crowded... but i made them in 20-30 min. :-)
I haven't play around with logos from a long time and just want some fun now.

Yes, lines should help make a difference. But made them before going to sleep... at the end didn't liked as much as i saw them in my mind.
Even if i draw them... usually todays trend is to go as simple as possible and make a stand in viewer mind. Also, there are times when need something crowded from where to stand out the meaning of that thing... uhm, interminable speech here :-)))
Also, in the near future i will move them to another area, now i placed them quickly. If you would like to see them or place your own there tell me.

I upvoted, too. I roomed with 2 guys getting their Masters and Phd's in Mathematics in University. You stop dealing with numbers at that level, Pure Theorems(the Phd). I'll never forget when he told me 1=0. These guys are out there, always pondering, brilliant minds. Anyway, good luck.
Thanks @alvinfang.. I love the wonder of maths and in another life, I would have easily been a programmer. I was A* as a kid in numbers.. but my interest in art and communications was far more glamorous so that side of my brain didn't develop as much as it could. I'm still fascinated by magic numbers, prime number and pi - & writing music, (very mathematical) but art and it's decadent influences got hold of me a long time ago ! (Thanks again) & Good Luck
