I am continuing with the BONUS ROUNDS for a moment, so we are now on the poetry portion of the contest!
After an amazing MEME Round and a fantastic ART Round, it's time to get creative with some poetry! The 100 STEEM winner of the art round has been determined, and @awakeningartist took the prize! This was the winning entry:
For the poetry round, I'm basically throwing out most of the rules. All that you need to do is make a poem based off of the winning piece of art and submit it in a reply to this post. Also, I'd prefer if you'd keep it clean and child-friendly.
You are more than welcome to make a post out of your poem, and if you do, you can even drop the link in the replies below so that others can check it out and upvote it, but your actual entry will be the reply to this post, not your post, if you make on.
I'll award 50 STEEM to the winner of this round, so get creative, have fun, and enter whatever kind of poem you want.
It doesn't matter if it rhymes or if it's a haiku, all that matters is that it is original and comes from you!

The helmet it gave him a comfort of sorts,
That the endeavour embarked on was adequately thought.
As he starred down the barrel the innocent chap,
Was completely surprised when he met with mishap.
The cannon it fired much like a Steem engine,
Across the lush paddock he shot with a vengeance.
He flew past the wee peppers, the chooks and his wife,
Though he lost half his face he escaped with his life.
The stunt it became such a steemit sensation,
He retired to pepperland with great accolation.
The commotion it launch more than just this one gent,
Skyward the Steem dollar also was sent.

A Soldier's sacrifice
Even if I don't return next year
Tell my mother not to shed a tear
Tell my father not to cry
Because I did as much as I could try.
Now I'm far, far away in paradise
For my priceless sacrifice
To keep the people safe of this nation
I'm sorry my brother, you've to endure this separation
Oh my lovely sister, don't be so sad
Your brother's always with you, even if he's dead
Sorry I can't tie a Rakhi from you this time
But I know you'll preserve the gift I gave you last time
All I want to say is for my nation's pride
A son, a brother and a loving friend has died.

people make

on life and how things are
