All-purpose seasoning may be referring to all-spice? I always marinate chicken/pork, but decent beef done on the skillet is different. I was just messing around and prefer a steak with just salt and pepper. A Dipping sauce or something to brush on the meat is great for cheaper cuts.
The chow mein was amazing and will definitely be made more often.
