Before Christmas, my son and I went for a visit to see the beautiful IMAGO Kota Kinabalu shopping mall decorations. There was news claiming that this IMAGO had obtained the name of one of the best decoration for Christmas 2018, in my entire country Malaysia. As I arrived the hall... It was no joke.
GODIVA, the name flashed across our sights... Here in KK!? We approached the kiosk, surrounded by glass cabinets, shining and glimmering, inside with perfect molded chocolates.
We checked out the price. Mmm... Rm25 for a cone of ice cream... It's alright, we gotta be good to ourselves sometimes...
Cashier: Good afternoon, madam? Which one are you interested in?
Me: Erm, Erm... The Dark Chocolate Raspberry ice cream, please...
Cashier: Oh sorry, that's our smoothies product...
ME: Atukoi ("oh my goodness" in Native expression)... Dark Chocolate Soft Serve please... (while laughing at myself)
Cashier: Alright. That would be RM18.00 under our promotion. Usually RM25.00.
Me: Oh my Godiva... Thank you.
Me and my son: (slowly motion in eating the ice cream)
We could taste the bitterness plus sweetness of cocoa in our taste buds. The flavors were magical, just like in the fairytale. The softness of ice cream with crunchiness of the chocolate dusts compliment each other. We enjoyed watching the revolving gold signs of decorations near the kiosk. We felt luxury and rich, lasted about 15 minutes. We wanted more (sob! sob!)...
