Cooking is literally a un-unlearnable skill for me. It is hard to learn how to cook and to cook successfully if you try to make recipes that are very strict, linear, and are not customised to your taste and needs.
It is hard to learn how to cook when you simply put things together, try new flavours, and do whatever is close enough to what you were intending:
Cooking is literally just common sense in my opinion.
Do not worry about all this lame and fake 'you have to do it this way!!!!'
Make YOUR brownie, make YOUR pancakes, make YOUR scrambled eggs, forget French chefs telling you your pancakes suck if you did not use an aromatic flower that grows only in specific climates once every few thousand years
You cannot not know how to cook, you simply have not tried (very much, if at all)
Literally, turn the temperature up, not all the way if you are really nervous, throw food at it, mix it around if you really need to, in or out of the pan, see what happens, add things you typically enjoy the flavour of, boom, you just cooked a great meal!
