I have flown hundreds of flights and not once has the pilot announced "Don't Panic we are about the land", never.

With government leaders and news pundits by the thousands saying not to panic, this in itself is reason enough to go the opposite direction. USA Homeland Security has said to have two weeks of food in the home. Quarantines in China lasted over a month. Start the clock for Italy. Its almost certain that waiting until there is a lock down to buy essentials will be too late.

Those that did not start to purchase reasonable items in January will likely find themselves without.

The cumulative effect of the global travel and business shut downs will cause an economic collapse like the world has never seen. Expect to see a freezing of all financial markets as an early step. Whilst this seems to be an unthinkable approach, its always about giving the people what they want. Governments only need to execute the strategy to make the people "what it". And I think that when westerners see their 401k and other retirement accounts go from USD 700,000 to 30,000 they will want it. This will happen much like Marko Ramius in the movie Hunt for Rod October where he executed a scenario to make all of the sailors to want to get off the submarine. Humans are such predictable and gullible creatures.

The next step after the markets are frozen will most likely be moving off the current government fiat "money" systems to a digital one. With the advent of cryptocurrencies and the outsourcing of transactions to Swift, it is now time for the central banks to pull all reminiscences directly into their control. As crypto enthusiast have proclaimed that BTC (and other crypto's) is the money of the future and banks are no longer needed, so have the central banks. They no longer need retail banks, Swift and the intermediaries to manage the flow of monies globally, none of them. This will give them full monetary control and have the data from every transaction on earth as a bonus.

But wait, there is not time to implement this during the corona pandemic, perhaps, but it will get people to start "wanting it". The signals are being sent by the thousands such as the one from Newt Gingrich.

Federal Reserve announces plan to develop a new round-the-clock real-time payment and settlement service to support faster payments

The Federal Reserve Board on Monday announced that the Federal Reserve Banks will develop a new round-the-clock real-time payment and settlement service, called the FedNow℠ Service, to support faster payments in the United States.

The Federal Reserve issued this August 05, 2019, which means they have been working on it for quite some time. It looks like they have the tools and tech in place to go digital.

What are the odds that those US aligned countries will be able to run side chains on FedNow. What an exciting time we live in!
