Hey Music Zone community. This is my entry for Hive Music Festival Week 136 Round 1 - my cover of "Cry" by Cigarettes After Sex. I chose this song because of its straightforward approach to emotion. The lyrics like "It's making you cry every time you give your love to me this way" say exactly what they mean without decoration.
I recorded this with just my voice and guitar. The original version keeps things simple, and I wanted to do the same. No effects, no complicated arrangements - just the song as it is. The recording took a few takes to get right, but I'm happy with how it turned out.
Thanks to @eugelys and @musiczone for helping promote artists in our community. Having spaces where musicians can share their work is important, and your efforts make that possible.
To anyone listening: I didn't try to change the song or make it something it's not. Sometimes music works best when you let it be what it was meant to be. That's what I tried to do here.

Hola comunidad Music Zone. Esta es mi entrada para el Hive Music Festival Semana 136 Ronda 1 - mi versión de "Cry" de Cigarettes After Sex. Elegí esta canción porque habla claro sobre los sentimientos. Letras como "Hacerte llorar cada vez que me das tu amor así" dicen las cosas directamente.
Grabé esto con solo mi voz y una guitarra. La versión original es simple, y quise mantener eso. Sin efectos, sin arreglos complicados - solo la canción como es. Tomó unas cuantas tomas grabarla bien, pero estoy contento con el resultado.
Un agradecimiento a @eugelys y @musiczone por ayudar a promover artistas en nuestra comunidad. Tener espacios donde músicos puedan compartir su trabajo es importante, y tus esfuerzos hacen eso posible.
Para quienes escuchen: no intenté cambiar la canción o hacerla algo que no es. A veces la música funciona mejor cuando la dejas ser lo que debe ser. Eso es lo que intenté hacer aquí.
