What do you think are the priorities during this lockdown.
Well most of you know how I have been struggling with my hubby's health in the last 3 months with in and out of hospitals. We have been home since last 10 days, and he is on the mend with a lot of ups and downs. Now in such times my focus is to give him good nutrition to aid his recovery, but the sad part is because of the lockdown it is becoming extremely challenging for me to get a lot of stuff which would help him with good nutrition. The online providers have gone offline. The small time retailers are having minimum to provide.
I wanted to include a lot of non veg in his diet to give him a all rounded nutrition support. I was looking at giving him more of red meat, liver, salmon fish, trotters, broccoli, mushrooms, berries but sadly I am not able to source it easily any of these. After great difficulty somehow one vendor delivered it to me and that too in a very small quantity just the meat items and some veggies. Fish and berries is something that I have still not been able to source.
My doctor then suggested that I should look at giving him the powder supplements which definitely I am not in favor.
Amidst all the struggle, 2 days back when I hear this news that Liquor shops will open up across the country it was truly shocking for me.
While people are struggling for so many important commodities, the government thinks that the liquor shop is more important to open up for the public. So absurd.
Now look at what happens when the liquor shops open up, there is a huge rush, uncontrollable. Let me tell you people are going mad outside the shops, there is pushing each other and crazy crowd. The police are there standing, not doing anything much.
Wondering what is happening to Corona over here. Or the income now from the sale of liquor matters more then the public health. All the drama that the government has been doing about taking care of public lives has just been washed away in a couple of minutes.
Sale of liquor is a very big earning for the government and over and above that they have also hiked up the prices so all the more income for them.
While the poor migrants are struggling to reach to their villages, so many people struggling to get medical attention besides the covid treatments, essential commodities are available with struggle in all of that I am sure the liquor will give some relief to people. One can drink and switch off for sometime. May be that's what the government think. They must have thought, let's intoxicate these people so that they lose their thinking capabilities.
A friend of mine has been going through health crises, wants to get his stress test done, but his GP mentioned he needs to wait since right now the hospitals are attending only critical and emergency cases over and above the covid ones. There are many such cases where people are endlessly waiting to get treatment for other ailments, Dialysis patients are severely impacted because most of the hospitals they first ask them to go through the covid test, make them wait endlessly and do not treat them until the covid results are not out. It is crazy right. When does this menace end and how far these people will go.
More and more stories of people committing suicides dying of other circumstances, hunger games it's all going on and increasing by the day but no one bothers. Human life is only important for covid, rest everything is irrelevant. Let the economy go to hell.
Government will prioritize what to open up based on what gains they have from that. Let's wait and watch more of this play in the days to come.

God knows when this craziness ends, but hoping it should soon, if not complete then atleast to make it convenient for the basic needs
It has been hard for me and my parents, we are the part of society which are vulnerable to this virus so we are restricted to to gout even buy necessities. I just hope that this will end soon because of such worries and hardships that this situation is doing to me. @nainaztengra
I can understand there must be so many restrictions on you at this point of time and it must be so difficult to manage. Stay strong my friend, this too shall pass
Yesterday,one of my friends put up a video outside liquour shop on whatss app status and captioned it...."after uneducated jammati, look at the literate hindustani"
Ohh it is really crazy, and I guess it will be the same situation when other things open up, restaurants, malls, movie theaters, we will see the real literacy rate of our country then :-)
