I am currently working on a project to run on the HIVE ecosystem and looking for a partner or two to develop the idea. It is based around the whole COVID situation..
None of this is set in stone - it is work in progress, so I will happily take suggestions of where to go with this and welcome any constructive criticism.
The intention is to create a pair of coins running on HIVE.
I have had various ideas as to what to call these coins. For the moment, I have come up with
‘Compliance coin’ and ‘Non-compliance coin.’ (We also thought of vax coins and vax power but didn't want to call the other coin anti-vax as it is a derogatory term that creates a false dichotomy, so I have abandoned that for the time being) If you have better ideas for the names of the coin, please share in the comments.
My personal approach to the madness of the world, as anyone who has seen my content knows, is to subvert using humour.
The compliance coin would promote compliance with all government/corporate mandated rules and be attractive to those who trust the narrative around COVID (and possibly other things in the future)
The Non-Compliance coin would promote the exact opposite and therefore be attractive to those who are sceptical about the corporate backed government narrative and would promote non-compliance to their dictats and rules.
The coins would be created in a similar fashion and although they will be separate entities, part of the fun would be watching them ‘compete’ with each other.
500-1000 NFTs will be created for the HIVE blockchain for each coin (I am working on that now) which would be sold at modest prices (maybe 10-80 hive?) The NFTs would be in line with each coin. So, for example, the compliance coin NFTs may include images of Fauci, Boris Johnson, Big Tech CEOs and lots of other people who are pushing for compliance with masks, social distancing and of course vaccines. These NFTs could have accessories like masks, syringes, vaccine mandates etc. They could also consist of other types of art promoting compliance like memes or government campaign slogans. The non-compliance NFTs could include images of non-compliance ambassadors (e.g. Robert Kennedy) as well as memes promoting non-compliance.
Everyone who purchases an NFT will get an airdrop of compliance coins or non-compliance coins and they will power up their coins to reward content creators for showing evidence of compliance (e.g. evidence of vaccination, boosters etc) or non-compliance (e.g. evidence that they lost their job)
Users will also be able to eventually mint NFTs with these coins. There could also be games created on top of these coins. (Either action games or card games with different powers)
In order to keep these coins decentralised, and to avoid problems with regulators, I will not be awarding myself any coins at the start.
If the project is successful, it could bring a lot of value to HIVE.
I like the idea... and at the same time I feel like it's a potentially dangerous one.
Holding the noncompliance coin could be used to target people for malicious down-votes, and other malicious activity.
Hive is already rife with financial censorship & attacks from a handful of super pro-compliance whales, who have a controlling stake in the Hive blockchain.

Great idea, reminds me of the trump and biden tokens. And it might actually mirror the situation with a bit more of transparency.

I don't know if this idea would create accurate results in a poll type outloook. Consider that whales with the most stake are on the regulation side of the fense and are actively downvoting all anti-cvid regulation publications. What are your thoughts on this?
I am not concerned about that. Its not meant to be a poll. It will give a chance for people to earn money supporting their viewpoint. There is also a plan with this that I want to keep to myself and discuss only with any collaborators that volunteer to join the project
