What to learn: 6 skills that everyone can learn

in #creative8 years ago

Probably, everyone sometimes wants to learn something new - playing drums, speaking Spanish, owning effective methods of self-defense. Here are the 10 most desired skills and options for self-study.

  • Fix something at home

Of course, to fix something at home, you do not need any special skills - you can just call a specialist, and everything will be ready.

  • To develop creative skills: drawing, illustration, photography

Despite the fact that these skills are not likely to help you make big money, they are very attractive, because they introduce you to the technical possibilities for creating something beautiful.

  • Learn to defend yourself

If you do not want to be beaten due to an unexpected attack, you should learn self-defense.

  • Get in on the design and develop a sense of style

Design and style are not an exact science, because tastes differ and change over time, but there are several general principles that will make your work, home or something even more aesthetic and attractive.

  • Master any subject that you missed at the university

It can be any science, finance, mathematics, humanitarian subjects, jurisprudence or something else. If the university did not manage to master this skill, you can go online.

  • Cooking as a chef

On the Internet, there are so many recipes and websites with tips for cooking different dishes, that everyone can become a class cook without studying anywhere.

Try different recipes, develop a "sixth sense of the dish," subscribe to culinary YouTube channels and just enjoy the cooking.

I went to undergraduate and postgraduate school yet all of the ways I provide for myself now are from the things I learned via the internet! It's crazy how that is. I guess I'm just a self learner and it took me awhile to figure that out...but I do feel that whether you are into self-learning, or not, you can highly benefit from developing any of the skills you mentioned here.
