Memories of childhood are the future of mankind.

The memory of childhood slumber calls to us.

The miracle of a cloud passing in front of the sun; the cleansing property of mud; the innocent wading through a mountain stream; worlds of wonder, mysterious as disappearing Jurassic beasts, revealing as the light of the full moon, awe-inspiring as whispers in a midnight mountain canyon.

The artist is tormented by the beauty of nature. He seeks reprieve in the expression of eternal and unerring principles. Truth flows through the artist (if he is genuine) just as clearly as through nature. He is wedded to his elusive lover, the one who darts through the forest in darkness...the one he draws inspiration from.

The monuments to eternal truth speak loudly, but in gibberish; the artist deciphers the meaning of the sound. He hears, he responds.

Back to the midnight canyons...

The secrets, the magic, the begging for unconcealment, these things are what press the artist on through life. He does his duty or society only for this: to set off through the endless wood, chasing his lover, seeking union with the magnificent mystery. He would press through the harshest of circumstances just to arrive at a mountaintop and witness the expanse below - the truth from great heights.

The memory of childhood laughter calls to us.

There was delight at every turn, endless possibility in our minds. There were kingdoms under our feet. Due to the promise of machine, we left our childish spirit behind, when we should have simply left the naivety. The mature artist is careful but spirited. He knows that magic can kill, yet he knows it is a source of revelation. With the proper approach, he harnesses both rapture and reason.

For the artist, life is an adventure; yet he should be damn sure to develop his skill, and he should show respect for those who solve our most difficult challenges of everyday existence. Using childlike tenacity, he unconceals the truth that will that will shape the collective action of future generations. He is often mistaken for a lazy ingrate, when he is, in fact, the catalyst of all progress - if he is doing his job.
