Fontjoy is a web app that automatically suggests you a font pairing when you open it up for the first time.
The tool will give you three pairings: one font for the heading, one for the sub-heading and one for the paragraph.
But what you see on your screen is just a little part of the functionalities available for free.
Functionalities
In the topbar, you can:
1. See a list of recommended pairings for title font
2. Change the design of the application by choosing the background color (black or white)
3. Decide if you want a high, balanced or very similar pairing for your font. When you're done with this, you can click the "GENERATE" button and Fontjoy will give you another pairings of heading, sub-heading and paragraph
4. By clicking on the lock button you can choose which font you want to be locked in when clicking "GENERATE". The locked fonts will not change after the generation of the new pairing.
5. If you don't like the generated font, you can choose similar fonts by clicking on the icon next to the lock button. The tool will then give you a full list of similar fonts to choose from. You can scroll the list until you find something that suites your taste.
What it can be used for
Fontjoy can be useful when you need to decide the right pairings for your landing pages, sales pages, optin pages, ebook covers, ad designs and so on.
Its functionalities are not mind-blowing in the short term, but you're going to use this tool over and over and, after some months, you may understand how powerful this little web app is.
