There was hundreds ready for use.
But, back to the non-analogy...
The "virus" is the least of our concerns.
Its not even the disruption of supply chains
It is actually that we are at the beginning of an ice age.
Soon there will be two seasons. Brutal summer and COLD winter.
You will grow food in a greenhouse, or you will starve.
No amount of gold will buy food.
It will become something like, is that office job you do really worth an hour of my time?
Those "elite" who think they will go to their fall out shelters and survive will find the world a very harsh place. This is not a time to hide away, this is a time to build a new boat, or maybe a flying saucer. Boats are so last century.
I for one welcome our Game of Thrones future.
