This Week’s Musings

EV Update

EV manufacturer Aptera Motors is set to release the first production version of an electric vehicle with a range of 1,000 miles per charge. This is great news for everyone in the market for a new EV. Will this car be a Tesla killer? I doubt it but it’s really a smart and fascinating design. It will also offer consumers more choices which is a great thing.

This is probably what the future of urban transportation looks like. When the Tesla CyberCab is unveiled in just over a month, on August 8th I wouldn’t be surprised if it has a very similar design to this Aptera model. Most people don’t need huge or even mid-size vehicles for everyday driving but the biggest hurdle will be getting Americans to realize this. We just love our huge trucks and SUVs.

Wim Hof

YouTube’s algos have been serving me up some pretty amazing suggestions this week. I recently found this interview with “The Ice Man”, Wim Hof. He’s been a fixture in the alternative health circuits now for years but this is the first long form interview I’ve ever seen with him.

I have to say I’m impressed. Not only by his techniques but, mainly, because all of his claims are verified by peer-reviewed studies. Many of his techniques echo what Indian sages have been saying for millenia about our body and mind’s ability to heal us. I downloaded his free app after watching this and have been practicing his breathing technique every day.

I’ve also been doing the cold showers in the morning now for a couple of years and am convinced it’s changed my body’s physiology. I’m not nearly as sensitive to cold after two years and my blood pressure and heart rate are measurably lower. It'll be people like Wim who eventually will take down Big Pharma.

Market Watch

This crypto market continues to be the strangest I’ve seen yet. Toby and Heidi continue to be among the people in this space I trust the most. Heidi got her start years ago on Steemit and the two of them have impressively grown their business across multiple platforms since then.

I’m still a firm believer that diversification is key in our current market conditions because anything can happen. I’m also a firm believer that Tesla stock has a massive upside potential in the two-to-five year timeframe so I recently snapped up some shares of that at what I believe will be bargain basement prices. They will become more of a robotics and A.I. focused company than a vehicle manufacturer and I think Elon Musk’s soon to be unveiled Master Plan 4 will reveal this. As always with anything investment related don’t let my opinions influence your decisions. Do your own research, always.

Julian Assange is Free!

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention Wikileaks’ founder Julian Assange’s recent release from prison. As Robert Kennedy Jr. so aptly mentions in his latest posts on X, what I’m not so thrilled about is the precedent Assange’s plea deal sets for the future of free speech.

Kennedy 2.jpg

These two posts on X (do we still call them Tweets?) are a great example of why both the Democratic and Republican parties are attacking Kennedy with such fervor and why he's not leading in every election poll. His presidency would pose a great threat to the status quo of the establishment.

All for now.

The EV roll outs are interesting to me as I know folks on both sides of the fence. Personally I haven't made up my mind on the issue and will reserve judgement until later. 1000 miles per charge seems pretty good though.

I've done the cold showers for awhile now and I concur...they are good for you! Congratulations to Assange regardless of the plea deal...he had to get out. Now to combat the consequences lol

There are pros and cons to every kind of vehicle but there's a ton of disinformation out there about EVs that's funded by Big Oil. Those campaigns are turning a lot of people away from EVs.

I didn't know you did the cold showers! I feel so much better after two years of doing them. My cold tolerance is way better (which is super important in Minnesota).

Yes, I totally agree about Assange. He's sacrificed more than could be expected already.

I've been pretty impressed lately with a stock I picked up a while ago in a nuclear reactor company. It took a dive for a while there, but it is now back above what I paid for my shares when they went public a couple of years ago. I think unless we see some kind of cold fusion breakthrough, these small modular nuclear reactors are going to be the future of energy.

That's great that you found such a good one. There are lots of good opportunities in alternative energy and A.I. right now. I think we'll see a good five year run like we so with the semiconductor and dot com booms of the 1990s before the bubble bursts. I agree with your assessment of nuclear energy. Smaller reactors and a decentralized energy grid will be a smart move.

These new ones are supposedly melt down proof too, so that is a huge plus right there!

Although I don't put it into practice, I have read about the advantages of bathing with ice water. I think I might experiment, to see what happens. I just saw about Assange and I also just read that the US supreme court allows Biden's government to pressure social networks that publish false information, all about the presidential election. I hope to watch the debate tomorrow. Apparently, it has been a very busy week and it is only Wednesday. Safe travels, my friend. Hugs

The great thing about it is you can even just take a cold shower and have similar benefits. I started out very slow, just slightly cold for a few seconds and worked my way up to a full thirty-sixty seconds as cold as I can get the water. I wanted to watch the debate too but will probably have to watch it the day after because I'll be traveling. Have a great weekend Nancy!

Eric, your insights on EVs, Wim Hof’s techniques, and market diversification are thought-provoking. Julian Assange’s release sparks debate. Keep sharing your valuable perspectives! 🚀🌟👏

The range of km/miles of EV seems to be a problem for drivers and those who are willing to buy an electric car.

It's great to see more options in the EV market, especially ones with such impressive range. Can't wait to see how it stacks up against Tesla hehehehe

The CyberCab is going to make for really tough competition for these smaller EVs. Tesla will have to get people over the huge stumbling block of thinking they need to own a personal car though. I see the concept taking off in dense urban centers like NYC and Shanghai first.

Yes it's definitely going to do well in dense areas but it's going to be very hard to make people stop loving the idea of a personal car for sure

That electric vehicle coming from Aptera Motors looks like the future where cars will fly is a lot closer to us!

I like the quirkiness of the Aptera but just don't see how it would handle deep snow or how it would stack up against a crash with one of the many humungous SUVs on the US highways.

Gradually it is Definitely looking like what is needed to be done is actually getting done

Taking a cold shower in the morning is very healthy and can make your skin firm and youthful. I want to practice it but my area is a hot climate area where even in the morning the water is not very cold.

About crypto, I have lost a lot of money because my predictions were always wrong. I think your decision to buy Tesla shares is right because they have a clear and good project. Have a nice day, Eric.

In our country now, electric vehicles and motorcycles have started to run. Tesla is a big company and it will not be easy to beat it

Many of his techniques echo what Indian sages have been saying for millenia about our body and mind’s ability to heal us.

Sure Sir. The more you breathe deeply, the more insightful and "thoughtlessness"(the state of meditation) your life would be. Then you will become the medium and the vibration of the Universe will speak through you. Be it Buddha, or Lao Tse or Japanese Saints, or even Mahavir, or Patanjali, everyone has stressed upon our breathing, if we deep breathe it will energise the "taanden"(2 inches below naval point) region, you will find a sense of relaxation, and will be to catch the sound of silence.

Our deep breathing can bring a 360 degree change to our life and our thought process.

Thank you.
🙏🙏🙏

I can’t wait for the day that I get to enter an Electric car, It would be nice to be in one someday.

Thanks for sharing this Eric😃

Those types of electric vehicle will definitely be quite worth so much than expected
