The legalization of Bitcoin in India

in #crypto7 years ago (edited)

The Indian government has come to the decision to regulate Bitcoin and allocated resources to standardize the industry.

The big three Indian Bitcoin exchanges including Zebpay, Coinsecure and Unocoin operated with self-regulated trading platforms, allowing the Indian government to reconsider Bitcoin as a digital currency.

Coinsecure, the largest Bitcoin exchanges in India has finally started take Bitcoin seriously and may regulate the market.

We are finally seeing countries such as Russia, Japan and India legalizing Bitcoin as a digital currency. Even the state of Nevada wanted to be 'home base' for blockchain startups.

Will the U.S. be next to legalize Bitcoin and crypto currency?

I think the word "legalize" should be replaced with "regulate" or "control" because that is what it means inevitably. There will be no more anonymity or the freedom to buy cryptocurrency without being registered. In the end, we might even see bitcoin transactions being taxed, or even the requirement to register owned bitcoin addresses.

I agree. Eventually, Uncle Sam is going to want his fair share of the profits.

Thing is though, it doesn't need to be "legalized". It's already completely legal. What's implied is heavy regulation. Trading licences, audits, bankers etc. The things that keep the little people in their place. They want to set up the same old structures in the crypto world. Which goes against the reason Bitcoin came along.

Not tomorrow, but near future U.S will legalise too.

Hopefully. I think wall street, big banks and government will give crypto currency a hard time.
