Top 3 Altcoins To Buy Right Now.

  1. Ripple
Ripple currently has 90+ customers at the moment and has just done some rebranding with their 3 systems for different use cases xCurrent, xRapid and xVia. You can read more about those on Ripple.com. Ripple's Interledger Protocol can send money across borders in under 8 seconds and can handle 1500 transactions per second, compared to Bitcoin's 3-6 and Ethereum's 15. So Ripple is built for scalable use and that means that it can handle high volume unlike Bitcoin. This is the reason Bitcoin split, because it couldn't handle the current volume and it caused transactions to be slow and fees to be high. When a bank or financial institution uses Ripple they can save 60% on processing fees. Banks and payment providers have taken interest in using Ripple to complete transactions. Recently, Moneygram is wanting to use Ripple for payments to bring down cost and build new revenue opportunities. This is the same reason why banks want to use them, Including Bank of America and 80% of banks in Japan.
  2. SiaCoin
SiaCoin provides decentralized cloud storage and cryptographically stores your files and photos. So it is basically impossible for someone to hack into your files, unlike icloud which leaks many photos of celebrities. With SiaCoin you can also rent out your hard drive for other people to use which I think is very cool if you have extra space on your PC that you don't use.
  3. Steem
Steemit.com is gaining many users everyday and a lot of people are having success on this platform. I believe it will be bigger than reddit in the next 2-3 years because it is essentially the same thing, but you get paid for your time. As this platform gains more users the price will naturally go up. What is great about this site is that you don't need to have a lot of followers to get a good amount of upvotes. I don't see why people would stop using Steemit, because I sure as hell won't! I have only been on here for a month and have made 110 steem in profit. Even if someone doesn't want to use this platform daily it is still a good idea for a long term hold.

By The way i forgot to mention in the post that I think you should buy these coins for a long term hold, thats what im doing

good point on STEEM! I think that's the beauty of it, you have options:

1. If you're persistent poster and content creator you get your income from upvotes.
2. If you're just a intense reader you can upvote and commenting other great content and get your income.

Or you combine both and in any case ..

3. you'll invest in a long term opportunity of the growing platform.

In terms of the stock market it's like a Dividend-Growth-Strategy for example where you invest maybe 25% in REIT's with highest dividend and very slow growth, 35% in stalwarts (see categories of Peter Lynch) with high dividends and 10% growth and 40% in fast growing companies 50-100% per year which eventually pay dividends in the long term. Think of growth also like a dividend which is reinvested in the company to accelerate the growth and to avoid taxes and so also the long term outcome for investors. Like Dan Larimer explained in a vlog by @dollarvigilante that 95% of income are reinvested in STEEM Power and that's definitately for the long term success of the poster and the platform because the funds are growing and you can powerup your payouts!

Until now i understand the basic principle of the platform but not any option you have in depth, there are so many to build your own strategy!

Just bought myself some Ripple last week. I'm hoping for a big upswing. Also I've been enjoying Steemit and promoting it among my friends, so I hope all of these will continue to grow in value. Thanks for sharing!

good buy on ripple, they are expecting use by banks before the end of the year, good long term hold, im holding mine for 4-5 years depending on what the price is at, ripple solves a real world problem and will advance global commerce. this is why i think it has so much potential

ripple amount = 38,333,090,674 XRP that a lot of ripple but i think some is burned per transaction so eventually will be worth somthing..Sia coin is good storj also offers the same thing, steem is good but i think the coin amount doubles each year so the price will go down, due to inflation, we really need some other sort of money input, aka ads, but to place a add you need steem or somthing, and adds are optional , just my two cents.. If ya wana make bank neo is were its att, its the chinese eth..

I'm not a big fan of your top two coins. I held ripple for some time and I prefer a coin that will be used as a coin rather than an intermediary of some sort. Also the spread of ripple is a bit wonky at the moment which worried me and so I left it.

I love the idea of Siacoin but it's competing with Maidsafe and Filecoin. Maidsafe already has a product and filecoin only let accredited investors join the ico so the file related coin scene is seeing a lot of action currently. I know that a few other projects plan to use filecoin though and as I've invested in those projects, I'll put my faith in filecoin (and hopefully buy when it hits exchanges).

If you'd like to let me know what you like about Siacoin I'm always looking for a new investment and maybe there's something I misssed when researching it. Either way, great article and you should keep it up!

I got out of ripple myself. Not sure what that coin is used for...

is used for banks and financial institutions, gonna regret not holding it

Ripple - I bought around 1000 of them in April this year but the value is not increasing so much, in fact the price is going down from more than 4 month. It is true that more and more banks and payment institutions are using Ripple protocol but seems that this is not affecting the price of the coin.

they are not officially using them yet, that should come by the end the year

I traded all of my bitcoin in for #pogs, I hear they're making a comeback! I'm banking on it!!!

You mentioned Siacoin, i'm holding a small amount. I'd noticed that Crypopia is now for days in mainentance state with Siacoin. Currently it's not reliable but i don't know what are exactly the reasons for that
