It is about time the cryptocurrency ecosystem embraced a longstanding, intimate relationship with the psychedelic community. This partnership is long overdue. Until now, the two communities have only mingled with each other on the edges of the dark web. At last, their fated rendezvous is taking place. They are going mainstream in a big way, and I get to be part of it.
I have been invited to speak at the SCHMOOZE CRUISE: “CRYPTOS & PSYCHONAUTS & CANNABIS. OH MY!” event, which is a cryptocurrency fundraiser cruise in San Francisco for the Multidisciplinary Association of Psychedelic Studies --- AKA M.A.P.S. The event is slated to take place this coming Sunday, August 13 at 5:00 pm.
The goal of MAPS and Purpose of the Cruise
MAPS hopes to raise $12.5 million to make MDMA a legal medicine for PTSD survivors. Currently, MAPS is initiating phase 3 of their studies. They are on the cusp of being granted FDA approval. The nonprofit's goal is to make MDMA a legal treatment for PTSD by year 2021.
Their press release elaborated:
"This year, working closely with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), MAPS is initiating Phase 3 clinical trials of MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for PTSD. These trials will build on the results of MAPS’ completed Phase 2 trials, in which two-thirds of participants with chronic, treatment-resistant PTSD no longer had PTSD after just two sessions of MDMA-assisted psychotherapy. MAPS anticipates FDA approval for the prescription use of MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for PTSD by 2021—provided the research receives the necessary funding."I believe we can all help them succeed at that mission, and this will be an important piece of my talk aboard the cruise ship.
My Role on the Cruise
I will be providing a talk on the importance of the relationship between the cryptocurrency ecosystem and the psychedelic community. I will discuss how this partnership will spur the human species to evolve and transcend beyond the confines of the status quo. I will talk about how cryptocurrencies and psychedelic medicines naturally mesh --- how their union will help illuminate the path to a brighter tomorrow.
It is no surprise that cryptocurrencies jibe with psychedelic medicine, though. Both represent the start of new horizons in a multitude of nascent areas, including technological growth and development in the field of trauma therapy.
I hope my talk on the subject will further inspire cryptocurrency investors to shape the future by giving to this needed cause, so trauma sufferers will have access to life-affirming and curative compounds.
Speakers and event activity
Overall, the cruise will be a veritable feast for the heart and mind. Some of the greatest thinkers and spirits on the earth will be on board and in attendance.
Many of the executives at MAPS will provide short talks on their current work, including founder Rick Doblin. I will also be speaking alongside Matt McKibbin of Decentral. Alex Grey will be also aboard the ship along with Sophia the Robot, created by Hanson robotics. There will be an art benefit to boot, in which all proceeds will go to MAPS. I posted a while ago when I first joined Steemit about how the psychedelic community needs to get onto Steemit, especially our best friends over at the DMT-Nexus. To get all the psychedelic pioneers to join forces to announce our presence in a subtle invisible kind of way where we are like the buddhas above the clouds in the tenth dimension that invisibly shape the world through our insight that we have downloaded from these totally outlandish hyperspatial trans-temporal domains.
Anyway, so happy to see this. Steemit will be a beautiful way to fund finally all these scientific projects that have been waiting to happen for these last dark decades of fear and the war on drugs. With cryptocurrency and Steemit the government or any other central authority has no control over the money supply. Which means where the money goes is ruled entirely by the free market. This my friends is a true democracy wherein the vote of the popular opinion wins the honey! Thus, what I'm saying is because we now actually have valuable voting power, we are no longer in need of elections or governments to decide for us. We for the first time in human history together as a collective will be able to decide.
As Terence Mckenna pointed out long ago, we who are awake to the possibility of the fractal psychedelic mystery number many more among us than we realize. But now we have new technologies. And we are going to come out into the light.
There never was a renaissance in human history.

Amazing that it looks like they'll get FDA approval. That alone is a huge step. Another brick in the wall of the drug war being pushed out.
I pause and marvel sometimes at how far the cause of liberty has come with the drug war. Fifteen years ago I thought I'd never see the day that cannabis and MDMA could become legal within my lifetime, even more medical use. It seems like humanity is on the right track more or less. Kudos!
Psychadelics are incredible tools for self inspection. It's frustrating that something so powerful and helpful is forbidden. Instead they push literal Meth (Adderall) on 5 year olds.
