HOW TO GET MY BITCOIN BACK?

in #crytocurrency9 years ago (edited)

I sent these THREE transactions out 5 days ago (May 25, 2017) . They STILL have not posted. Can we have a talk about HOW to get this money released? It may not be much...but the solutions may come in handy to help others.

This was from a MultiBit HD wallet.

It looks like the fee paid is too low. I believe it will fall out at a certain point or maybe someone will mine it regardless of the fee.

Cancelling unconfirmed transactions is easy. Just submit a higher fee double-spend transaction. For example: if you send a 0-fee transaction it could take a day before 1 block mines it. Then you send another transaction with the same inputs that just sends the money back to yourself. On this transaction you put a higher fee. This becomes more likely to be mined and will get included in the blockchain - invalidating the slower-to-confirm original.

Can someone please confirm that this still works so that he doesnt get bad info from me. lol

Thank you. I need to look into trying that suggestion. Seems complicated.

I have heard of it being done, I am sorry that I cannot be of more assistance of how to actually to accomplish this.

It's cool. On the second transaction, I moved the slider to add more fee. That transaction went through after a few hours. But on the $30 one, the fee must have reset or something and went back low. This is not cool.
