GAZEBO 002 : Reviving Overused Architectural Forms as Public Art

@erb: Gazebo 002 is part of an ongoing series in which I reimagine various commonplace architectural forms as sculptural public art installations. After years of seeing the exact same shape in every park, both park-goers and designers have forgotten the gazebo for its original purpose. By transforming the standard form into something completely new, I'm hoping to tear the gazebo out of the background of our parks and bring it back to the forefront of our outdoor experiences. My goal is to provide a place for spontaneous happenings in the public space by inspiring conversation between strangers and encouraging creative interaction with the sculptural object I place before you.

Wayne Krantz Interview – A Guitarist's Guitarist

@roused: Being a guitarist's guitarist does not necessarily translate into fame, rock star status, or Grammy awards – Jeff Beck would be a notable exception. Meet Me at the Lamppost for Some Turkish Delight

@TheGalavantGirl: In C.S. Lewis’s The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, somewhere between the lamppost and the Eastern Sea, near the great castle of Cair Paravel, you can find many delicious dishes: A faun serves up toast, sardines, tea, and cake. Beavers and children discuss how to escape a witch over trout, buttered potatoes, and a gloriously sticky marmalade roll. Foxes and squirrels enjoy a plum pudding from Father Christmas; and then of course, most famously, there’s Turkish delight—so magical you could eat to your death for wanting it. This is the Kingdom of Narnia.

Decentralization to the Rescue: Peerity – Steem’s Competitor?

@fingersik: I found a Steemit like platform that aims to support online AND offline activities of HIGH QUALITY alike. I was confused – naturally. How do they want to measure offline activities and how do they want to make sure that only activities of high quality get to be rewarded. Whitepaper should contain the answers right? So I’ve read it and now I’m going to present its summary as a part of my newly born series.

@bree1042: Today's English expression is "Eat crow". It may sound weird and even absurd to eat crow. But we all love to eat chicken, then why not crow? But to eat crow means not just consume some protein. It means "be humiliated by having to admit one's defeats or mistakes."

Their account currently has over 1,000,000 STEEM delegated to it, so of course it makes sense that they’re using this to encourage people to utilize the platform. This post is a quick analysis of a 12 hour slice of their upvotes.

@guyfawkes4-20: I think the best name for this time is “The FUD Period” because the whole market was brought down thanks to the mass media bullshit that kept on hitting us, one after another in the hope that they will destroy this market but this is just the beginning.

Just amazing !! good job

I'm sorry if this posts answers this question. But how do you choose or select the posts shown here? How does this contest run? Sorry, asking for further explanation how the sndbox works....:)

This curation post highlights posts authored by Sndbox incubator fellows. @sndbox-alpha does a weekly curation post as well that highlights and supports non-incubatees (the broader Steemit public) and holds weekly open calls for posts to be curated. Make sure to give them a look :) @sndbox-alpha

Thanks, I didn't know there was another account. Probably my fault, when there is a really long post I get overwhelmed when reading. I submitted one to the alpha side, will be keeping a close eye on all your different posts. Have a good one! :)

This is really a very good initiative because it will enable those who missed out on important articles to have a second chance of reading such articles again. By this, I am able to see about three articles that I consider a must read for me. Thank you @sndbox. You guys are really doing amazingly.
