Title: Don’t Mess With The HIVE

Vance Ericson, author.

The year was 2024, it was spring time in the western hemisphere where the old man named Sult had been imprisoned by the imperial dictator known as Master tRump. “Those bastards have all but ruined the country.”, he said as he shaded his eyes from the television camera lights when he emerged into the hallway of the prison.

Sult was on shaky legs as he put his left foot in front of him and dragged his right leg behind him as tried to remember how to walk. He had been confined in 6’ x 6’ concrete cell for nearly four years for a crime against crown of tRump. His right leg was nearly useless to him. The prison guards had beaten that leg so badly he later admitted that if he had access to a sharp blade he would have cut it off rather than endure the continuous pain.

I was able...

I was able to get an interview with Sult just after his release from the Federal Prison in San Antonio, Texas less than an hour after his release. I had been tipped off that he indicated upon exiting the prison that he was dying for some good Texas BBQ.

Sult was easy man to read when it came to certain things like online poker which he played @brosinopoker.com . It was a consensus among the players there that he was "average at best" when I spoke to those who had played him.
Another easy read on him was his “Will Eat BBQ 4 U” monthly Texas BBQ reviews; I quickly check blockchain for those reviews and found the list of San Antonio area BBQ joints he had recommended. I had a hunch, or as Sult would say a “gut feeling”, on where he would go so I headed over to the Blanco Rd. BBQ.

My "gut feeling"...

My “gut feeling” paid off in a big way as the bearded old man named Sult was at a small table with his wife and the couple that had taken her to Alamo city for Sult’s release. As I approached the table I was hesitant to even speak, I stopped a few steps from the table when I came into Sult’s view, “Something I can help you with?”, Sult asked as he placed the bone from a BBQ rib on to his plate.

I calmly said, “ Mr. Sult, I am Vance Ericson , a freelance investigative journalist and I have followed your story.” Continuing on I said, “Is there any chance that I could maybe schedule an interview with you?”

He look up from the table and replied, ”Son, I don’t have a schedule now; You might be well aware…I’ve been booked solid for the last damn near four years.”
The table erupted in laughter; Sult’s dry sense of humor was still intact. “Pull up a chair and sit with us, no time like the present since we are both here.”

I grabbed a ...

I grabbed a chair from another table and sat down, “What would you like to know?”, Sult asked. The most important question in my mind came out first, “if you could go back and change things would you?”

“If I had it all to do over again” he said with his Texas drawl, “I don’t … no… I do know… I would have … I mean, I would do it all again.” His speech coordination was as shaky as his legs had been leaving his cell but the grin on the old man’s face was strong. “As a man you have a duty do what’s right and for that I had to pay the price.” he said.

Sult had been...

Sult had been imprisoned for the crime of treason against the government of the imperial dictator. The old man had grown up in a time back when there was freedom to speak your mind.

He had a premonition in autumn of 2017 that all the freedoms he loved and cherished was coming soon to an end. Armed with that vision in his mind he knew he must let the people know what was coming.

In 2017 our...

In 2017 our country wasn’t under dictatorship rule and he freely exercised his right to speak his mind. So he took to the internet to spread the word of the upcoming peril his country, and to a further extent, the world was in for. He thought he’d found the perfect place to spread his vision; a decentralized blog spot named FIRED.

He spent endless...

He spent endless hours at night typing his messages to send out to the world via his FIRED blog. But his acceptance from the world of FIRED was nearly none.

Having no more than a laptop and determination he continued posting to his blog which he had dubbed the “Daily Dose”.

It was more...

It was more than two solid years of daily posts before he missed even a single day. In that time he did manage to get noticed and his followers numbered over 800. He joined groups in the decentralized platform and networked with people from all parts of the world. He never found a person he didn’t like on there and that was to his advantage, given the task he had set out on.

Those followers he gained had other followers of their own and everything was starting to go his way on spreading his message, but there was turmoil in FIRED community that he didn’t see coming.

The market price...

The market price of FIRED crypto currency (GUZBUCKS) was steadily declining in value. The 2019 year was nearly a disaster for the FIRED community.

The communities that once exceed over 1 million persons in total had been reduced to a mere 100,000 at best. A young man named Jack Wad pulled “a fast one” as Sult called it, by purchasing the controlling interest in the company that held FIRED.

Behind the scenes...

Behind the scenes the witnesses and the tribes (communities) were working to save what their hard work had created. They weren’t about to let Jack Wad turn what little value GUZBUCKS had into dust.

“Jack Wad implemented a policy that I couldn’t live with.”, said Sult. That policy was censorship. “Anyone with any following who criticized Jack Wad was subject to have those posts vanish from the blockchain.” He continued on, “The witnesses tried to negotiate with Jack but that little jackass thought he couldn’t be touched.”

In March of...

In March of 2020 the witnesses and the community taught Jack Wad a lesson in business and in life. The witnesses stuck a hard-fork into the blockchain.

“The last I heard Jack Wad is penniless and homeless, what the FIRED community did was beautiful… they fired their “dictator.”, Sully said with that grin of his breaking into a big smile.

“Money can buy a person a lot of material things but, … but can you keep what you bought?’, he asked.

“He bought the company and huge stake of GUZBUCKS but he didn’t buy the people who built the FIRE.”, Sult emephasized.

Sult is an uneducated man by most standards with only a 12th grade education but his sixty plus years of life experience could equal most PHD’s and Master’s degrees.

"I remember that...

“I remember that day in March of 2020, I’m pretty sure it was a Friday, when they stuck the fork in the FIRE. It was like one the best feelings … I remember saying to myself..”How do you like us now Jack Wad?” as the blockchain forked and created HIVE.”, said Sult beaming with pride for what the witnesses and community had done.

That same week...

That same week all hell was breaking lose in his country, the then President tRump, had declared a national emergency. People were ordered to stay home and off the streets, gathering of people were not allowed. Not a corner of the civilized world was untouched by the pandemic known as COVID-19.

“Those were honestly scary times back in’20. The pandemic was a smoke screen for tRump to take over the country, become the imperial dictator.” Sult said. “Not the scariest times I ever faced but scary enough. The scariest was after I was arrested.”

Sult was arrested...

Sult was arrested in the summer of 2020 and tried for treason; he faced death by a firing squad if convicted.

The trial was held in the federal courthouse in Houston, TX. and was closed to the public. “The trial was a fucking joke…there was no justice.” Sult said emphatically. “Those 12 jurors were handpicked by the government to convict me.”, he said and the others at the table agreed.

Handpicked turned out...

Handpicked turned out to be true; they were handpicked and they did in fact convict Sult on a unanimous vote of 12 guilty verdicts. The jury wasted no time in deciding their verdict and the punishment, jury deliberations lasted less than 45 minutes.

“When the jury foreman announced the verdict I knew I had been fucked.” Sult said bluntly. When the punishment was announced, which was death by firing squad, Sult turned to the jury and said, “You cock suckers haven’t seen the last of me, I’ll haunt your asses ‘til ya'll are all in hell.”

The judge ordered...

The judge ordered the bailiffs, “get him out of here” and Sult was lead from the court room. “The only people in that courtroom were government people, including the so called news media.”, Sult told me.

At first there was no coverage of the trial on the news, the judge ordered the media to keep quiet on the trial until he gave them the okay. The only way that the results of the trial leaked out was by way of another convict who was in the holding cell of the court awaiting his trial on IRS tax evasion.

Moses was a...

“Moses was a God send, no doubt about it.” said Sult. The Moses that Sult was referring to Moses Freeman . In the brief time Moses and Sult were in the holding cells Sult asked Moses to get someone in his family on the outside to let Sult’s wife know about the conviction and sentence.

“If Moses were here today I’d give him a big hug, a big bear hug.” as he stretch out his arms. “He is one man among many others I owe my life too.”, Sult said.

Moses was one...

Moses was one man that Sult will never forget, they only spent about six minutes together but those six minutes were just enough time for Sult to explain to Moses what had taken place. “I promise you Sult, someone in my family is gonna help you. You have my word on it.”, Moses said.

True to Moses'...

True to Moses' word the Freeman family contacted Sult’s wife Daisy. She was devastated by the news but not surprised.

Daisy had cautioned Sult more than once on “poking the bear”. He tells the story to me, “Daisy warned me about ‘poking the bear’ but I didn’t listen to her. She told me that I would be a target. She might have been right since I was supposed to be shot to death. I don’t believe she meant “target” in that sense of the word, but a target nonetheless.”
Daisy nodded her head in agreement.

Sult's computer had....

Sult’s computer had been safely hidden with some friend before their home was raided and Sult taken into custody.
Daisy never had gotten involved on FIRE or the newly created HIVE but she knew she must, given the circumstances.
Once his old laptop was retrieved from their friend’s home Daisy encountered a stumbling block; the password.

Sult and Daisy never shared computers or passwords so she was at a loss on trying to gain access to his information and people who could help her. With the country now on total lock down she had to come up with a plan to get the computer into someone’s hands who could figure out the password.

In desperation she searched the internet for a program that would bypass the start up sequence of the computer and allow changes to be made to disable the password.
“For someone who is basically computer illiterate, I have to give her credit. “ Sult said.

Daisy found that...

Daisy found that program and installed it via a thumb drive. Tears of joy steamed down her face when the computer booted up and she had total access to all of Sult’s files. The work Sult had done; now had lead to his wife having to do what she could to save his life.

With the Corona...

With the Corona virus in full swing and the presidential elections just 6 weeks away President tRump called off the 2020 elections and ordered full military occupation of the country. Sult’s beloved country was in the hands of a military imperial dictator. The very things that Sult had envisioned were coming true.

Sult was locked up in the federal prison in San Antonio, Texas and had no way of knowing what was going on in the outside world. He could only sit, wait and wonder when he would get to start haunting those jurors. His only contact with anyone was the guards who brought him his daily ration of beans, rice and water.

Sult always had a way with words; some of those words were more colorful than others. He never did subscribe to being “politically correct”. His posts were both amusing and informative for the most part. So it didn’t surprise me one bit when he had this to say, “There are certain things a man learns in life, and the majority of those are learned at a young age. I learned when I was about 6 or 7 that you don’t fuck around with a hive or your ass is going to get stung.”

Sult's wife managed...

Sult's wife managed to make several desperate pleas from his computer to the HIVE nation for help.

Daisy’s plea for help to the HIVE nation stirred up a swarm of support. Members of HIVE organized protests around the globe in a matter of days. HIVE had been growing by leaps and bounds since the fork from FIRE and the numbers of BEEZ (HIVE members) was upwards of 800,000.

The imperial dictator was about to get a whole bunch of stingers in his arse.

Bees in nature...

Bees in nature do what they do and if you leave them alone they won’t sting you. BEEZ in the HIVE are pretty much the same as the bees in nature.

The actions of the imperial dictator had pretty much crossed the line with rigged trial and death sentence so the BEEZ united and with the help from the World Court in the Hague and nations around the globe; the Court issue a warning to the imperial dictator.

To: Master tRump, Imperial Master Dictator

From: The World Court

RE: political prisoner Sult N Papper

Master tRump;
It has been brought to the attention of this Court that you are holding a political prisoner, Sult N Papper, in your custody. This is not in the best interest of all parties as he is a member of the HIVE.

~We must insist that you not harm in any way.

~Your actions of late have been a real disruption to our NWO plans and the last, very last thing the Court needs is you stirring up the HIVE.

~HIVE is growing so rapidly they are threatening our IMF monopoly on the currency markets.

~We agreed to let you be the dictator of the only “free nation” left on this earth using COVID-19 as the catalyst to your dictatorship.

~We expect your cooperation in this matter. Yes, he is only one man, but he has an army of angry BEEZ spread out in all nations around the globe.

~The Court cares naught if you get stung by the BEEZ; which we will support if need be.

If you care to plead your case before the Court please submit the proper papers for a hearing before the Court.

If not, arrange for his release ~ post haste.

Sincerely ,
Edgar T. Pollen
Chief Justice,
The World Court

Days turned into

Days turned into weeks, weeks to months; the dictator continued to stall the proceeding of the hearing he had requested before the Court. Meanwhile the HIVE was growing; some nations were already using HIVE crypto currency as the official currency of the country.

Nearly four years went by before the hearing at the World Court was held to discuss the fate of Sult. Angry Beez were everywhere around the court premises. The dictator had done all he could in delaying the proceedings.

The dictator’s legal team had filed numerous copies of Sult’s blog post that lead up to his arrest as evidence of his crime.
The HIVE legal team countered producing congressional records from the previous de jure government of Sult’s country which verified his claims he had made in his posts. The trial lasted three full days with both legal teams battling each other’s evidence.

Upon hearing the...

Upon hearing the closing arguments from both sides the justices of the Court went to chambers to discuss among them the case.

As sun down approached signaling the end of the day, the judges called the court to order and back in session.
They had made a binding final decision.

“ Master tRump the World Court has found against you in the matter of Sult N Papper and his alleged treasonous behavior. Master tRump, the court also finds you guilty of cruel and inhumane punishment of Sult, the man. “ said Chief Justice Pollen. He continued, “With that finding of guilty we will turn you over to the HIVE nation to administer what they deem as “fair punishment” for your crime.”

“I wish I could have been there at that court.”, said Sult. “I never wished anything bad on tRump. Sure, he was some hot shot billionaire…turned politician…and then dictator…but in all of those roles he had in life he was still a man.”, Sult paused for few seconds then continued, “man should only be controlled by his creator and judged by that creator as well when his time comes.”

I could tell Sult was getting tired and my interview with him was emotionally draining so I thanked him for all he done and got up from the table. As I turned to walk away he asked, “So tell me Vance, do you know if the coroner has completed the autopsy yet?”

“No sir, I don’t. But even a child knows you don’t mess with the HIVE,”, I replied.

The End.

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed it! HIVE ON !

Until next time,

Sult

Yeah I hear good things about BROsino Poker where they have the Hive Poker League. One of these days I'll have to check it out! 😉

"Average at best" lol. You keep being "average" and the Three Kings will do just fine.

Thanks partner, I guess old Vance who wrote that story must not have talked to you and Jeff.

Every now and then I like writing a little fiction story, this one allowed me to mix some fiction and truth together for laughs or as Sult would say if he was talking "shits and giggles".

Thanks for reading and commenting. See you at the poker tables,

Great story. Who knew you were a fiction writer? Good on you!

I have a friend that is convinced that the president won't leave office if he is beaten in this election or in 4 more years. Interesting concept.

I'd wonder if the military would support such a thing? Each and every member took an oath to 'preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of these United States against all enemies foreign and domestic'. For some of us, at least, a solemn oath is a big deal and not to be given up on.

Fiction writer? Me? C'mon man , I am no fiction writer, my friend Vance wrote that story. He just let me post so I could enter the contest and maybe win a little HIVE.
Which is quite possible, if no else submits an entry.

A solemn oath is a big deal to me so count me in on "some of us".

If I were a gambling man though, I'd wager that probably over 95% of the people take an oath to defend the Constitution have never even read it.
So I am right there with you on wondering.

Good job on this! These days the truth is even stranger than fiction. Did you happen to see the "digital dollar" verbiage in the latest Bill before Congress? https://financialservices.house.gov/uploadedfiles/waters_146_xml_03.23.2020.pdf?fbclid=IwAR3CTmQxH3JJSyXY_zAybpGFQx1hIS2IuRvhe0IkcaB9cQuJS8Jon_DlAyA

I didn't but I will look at it, thanks for the compliment and the link.

LOVED LOVED LOVED your story!!!

Great Job!!

Thank you so much Snook. l'll see you at the tables!

Howdy sir sultnpapper! Wow what a story! lol..very interesting and entertaining too, well done!

Thanks pardner, I am glad you enjoyed reading it.

I just have to ask a question of you, I hope you don't mind. Who is your provider of internet service?

Thanks for comment and continued support!
Sult

Howdy sir sultnpapper! We have a company called Rise Broadband for our ISP. When we moved here a few years ago they were about the only choice because there weren't any towers of the big companies in our area so we've stuck with them. I think they charge $45 a month, less than most of the big ones.

Oh, I never have heard of them before. That is a very reasonable rate too. I was curious what service was up in the Great Plains of North Texas.
Thanks.

Frontier and Spectrum advertise heavily up here so I think have gotten here in the last couple of years.

For some reason I thought you might have Apache Communications.

I haven't heard of them, are they up this far? we're close to Greenville.

Bees in nature do what they do and if you leave them alone they won’t sting you. BEEZ in the HIVE are pretty much the same as the bees in nature.

Very true and very good story!
But did you have permission to publish Vance's story here in the Hive? Gota be careful, you may just get stung!

I'm really proud of how the Beez have collectively hovered together, they can't stand now can they? & are working together to make this the best Hive ever!
Hope Daisy is doing well!

Thanks so much Lizelle, I 'm glad you enjoyed it.

I've been stung before, and while it does hurt, its sometimes the price you have to pay. I'm pretty sure, since Vance already weighed in with a "good job" comment on this, he's fine with it.

Like you, I too am proud of the Beez. Sometimes you just have to take a stand for what you believe in, all the Beez believed in themselves and each other. It will remain to be seen just how well HIVE can do and what it will become but I firmly believe it will stay a place where a man can share his thoughts without censorship, and those places are few and far between them.

Daisy and the young ones are doing fine, they all wish this virus / lock down stuff ends soon because it is keeping me around the house "too much" and to much Sult can ruin anything as you well know from all the cooking you do.

Stay safe and healthy,
Sult
